This time we did it right! We're back!

2 days!!!!! OMG!!! Listen, everything will go great, don't worry and you'll have a blast do a FAB TR when you get back!

Take a deep breath and relax. Everything WILL be fine. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I had that same panicky feeling from the day I put down the deposit. I just had a feeling things were going to go wrong and I wouldn't make it there. We did have issues with Mom and Jen's flights, but other than that it was perfect.

I know you have been before, so you know not to try to do everything. I had plans in my head of things I wanted to do. But, it was Mom and Jen's first time, so I kind of let them lead. I directed as to what was there and things we really should see, but I wanted them to have some say, too. There were alot of things we didn't get to see, but alot we did that I wasn't planning to see. It all works out in the end.

Things will be just fine and you will come back saying you have no idea what you were worrying about!!!

Thanks for your support! It's good that there are people here who understand! :flower3: The freak-out is over now. That was so crazy! I don't normally freak out like that!

I think I'm done freaking out now. Thanks for your support! I will definitely do a TR when I get back, but I don't know that it will be fab!

The weather forecast is now calling for scattered thunderstorms EVERY day of our trip. :scared:

Thank goodness I bought plenty of ponchos...looks like we're going to need them!

They called for scattered thunderstorms every day of our trip, too. That's typical Florida weather! ;) The only day it rained was the day we got in - it poured - but quit just before we went to EMH at MK. Then it rained a bit on our AK day as we were getting ready to leave. We never took our ponchos out of our bags. I'll keep my fingers crossed the same happens for you.

LOL! That's what they're forcasting for my week, too!! It is a bit disconcerting to see those thunderclouds straight across the week, but if you look closer each day is only a 20-30% chance of rain. :umbrella:

I don't think it will be a wash-out, just more like September Florida weather than Oct/Nov. weather. Even if it does shower, it will all be over quickly!

Kathy

Just wanted to tell you I hope you have a fantastic trip and we get to see some of the wonderful pictures you always take. You are going to have so much fun!!!

Have a great time, no worries either cause you'll be at Disney world and worrying is not allowed there, go with the flow, do not second guess your self, the plans you made are terrific and your travel mates will think so too. I am so excited for a trip report!!!!

Oh, good! I hope we have the same weather luck!

I can deal with a little rain every day. That doesn't sound too bad!

Well, I didn't really have anything planned, so I thought I might fly down to Orlando and see what's going on there. What about you?

You eating dinner tonight at ST?;)

You have less than 48 hours now....:woohoo:  :dance3: :cheer2: :hourglass :hourglass

No Sweet Tomatoes tonight! We helped some friends move furniture tonight and they fed us pizza in return. Chicago style pizza. Yum! I think tomorrow is our Sweet Tomatoes night. For my last dinner before Disney food!!!!

Thank you for your vote of confidence!

My cousin and I were discussing (by email) the weather forecast.

She reminded me of one day a few years ago when we went to Frightfest at Six Flags Great America in Illinois. It was the day after Halloween, the last day of Frightfest and the last day the park would be open for the year. It was COLD and rainy that day. We went anyways! We did pretty well all day with lots of layers under our rain jackets.

Well, as we were leaving the park, we decided to take one last ride on one of the roller coasters. We were so lucky, we even got in the front car! :yay: On the way up the big hill leading up to the big drop, the roller coaster suddenly stopped! At this point, it was raining quite a bit. And since we were in the front car, there was something similar to the hood of a car in front of us. That means that every drop of rain that hit the hood of the car would roll off of the hood and onto us! So not only did we get all the rain that was falling, but we got all the rain that fell on the front of the roller coaster as well. We were SOAKED and FREEZING by the time we got off that roller coaster. But that whole day was such a blast, we still talk about it and how much fun we had that day.

At least it won't be freezing in Orlando!

Just make the best of the weather. You'll have a great time and make wonderful memories no matter what it does! It rained off and on on us this last time, but we just threw on the ponchos and walked on. Most spurts just lasted a few minutes. The only time it was really bad was when we were at Animal Kingdom. It was pretty fierce, so we went ahead and called it a day.

I hope you have good weather, great times, and safe travel. I'll look forward to hearing and seeing all about it. You'll love the pretty fall decorations. I wish I would have had time to take so many more pictures than I did of all the cute Halloween store window displays. See you back on the boards after you get back!

Accuweather's forecast is a little more hopeful than weather.com!

Bon voyage!

Oh, you're right!

Much better. Forget weather.com!

I'll take tons of pics! And I'll share them all when I get back!

Less than 24 hours.....

Yay! I'm all checked in to my flight. I feel kind of bad for the kiddos that I work with today. My mind is only about 20% with them!

Usually the last 4-5 days before I leave I am in a fog of WDW. However, this year I have some big stuff happening at church. So I have to stay somewhat focused. It actually may help the time to go faster.:thumbsup2

I'll have to go back and read your PTR. Why don't you remind everyone what you're doing your first day?:woohoo: :woohoo:

The best feeling is knowing that you are leaving in less than 24 hours. No more work and stress, bring on WDW!

Okay, the first day, (flying and checking into AKL) we're going to Epcot for the Food and Wine Fest!

I can't believe I'm going to be sipping wine and tasting delicious food from all around the world TOMORROW!

While I haven't stayed at the AKL.....yet, I've been there several times.

Enjoy the atmosphere. We like sitting in the lobby. While we were there in June, there was a CM with a large poster board map of her home country and she answered alot of my friends' questions. I didn't listen in as I was "busy" rocking in a rocking chair overlooking the savannah overlook right outside the lobby. How relaxing and that was with lots of guest walking by.
