I've been going through all the stuff that I'm bringing with me to Disney and I've come to two very important realizations:

1. I am bringing way too much stuff
2. I am not allowed to buy brown or khaki colored clothes anymore! Seriously, I am just now realizing that all of my clothes are khaki and brown! It's not so obvious when I look in my closet because there are a lot of things in there that I don't wear. But when all the clothes I do wear are laid out in one place...brown and khaki city!
Just be prepared...it's going to look like I'm wearing the same thing every day in my TR!

Now I just have to figure out what to leave at home!

My cousin just told me that she is probably going to buy an annual pass. Can anyone tell me what the discounts/advantages are that you get with the AP? Thanks!

Well, the obvious savings comes on park admission if you visit WDW for more than 10 days a year. And if you work it right, you can get two vacations per year out of it.

Example: This year you vacation in late October. Next year you plan your vacation for late September/early October and you use the annual pass for park admission on both trips.

There are also discounts on the special tours and ticketed events, like the MNSSHP and the MVMCP.

They used to give deep discounts to AP holders for room rates (like 40%), but the discounts are less now (more like 15-20%). Still, that's nothing to sneeze at. The discounts vary and are announced about 6-8 weeks in advance, so you make your regular reservation then call back as it gets closer to your trip to have them apply the AP discount (if available.)

It's really worth it if you plan to go to WDW every year.

I wish I were going twice within one year! My cousin is going back with her little brother and sister in January, so she'll get good use out of the AP. Unfortunately, my next trip is in November of 2008, so it'll be one month past one year. Bummer!

I just found out that we'll save 20% at Fulton's crab house because of my cousin's AP! Yay!

We love Phoenix as we have family out there. We've stayed at the Kierland Westin the past 2 4th of July holidays. I know 115 outside, but still a great time. We ate at this great restaurant at the Kierland Commons called North.
We'll be out there again in 08. We're not sure when.....

Because it wouldn't be right to snake in on your PTR at the last moment and not take the time to read what you've written. I loved your TR within a PTR. Hawaii looks wonderful.

Me too. In Montana Disney Fan's TR, I think he's reported going there a few times...He seems to like it.

I love Kierland Commons...it's so pretty. I've never been to North. We'll have to check it out.

It's great food in a relatively casual atmosphere. I do alot of shopping at the J Crew there. Great deals during the summer months.

I could not sleep last night. I think last night is when it really hit me...I'm going to Disney World. It hadn't been a reality till last night.

So I started freaking out. I feel like I have not read enough on Tour Guide Mike. I feel like maybe I didn't plan our park days well. I feel like our ADRs are at bad times. What the heck? It's not at all like me to worry about this stuff!

Fortunately, I have been using packing to avoid doing paperwork for my job, so I'm ahead of the game with my packing.

So now I have to convince myself to leave everything alone!

Take a deep breath and relax. Everything WILL be fine. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. I had that same panicky feeling from the day I put down the deposit. I just had a feeling things were going to go wrong and I wouldn't make it there. We did have issues with Mom and Jen's flights, but other than that it was perfect.

I know you have been before, so you know not to try to do everything. I had plans in my head of things I wanted to do. But, it was Mom and Jen's first time, so I kind of let them lead. I directed as to what was there and things we really should see, but I wanted them to have some say, too. There were alot of things we didn't get to see, but alot we did that I wasn't planning to see. It all works out in the end.

Things will be just fine and you will come back saying you have no idea what you were worrying about!!!
