This time we did it right! We're back!

Love your bag! I think I NEED one for our trips!! The only problem that I see with it for me is that I would fill it with stuff I wouldn't really need!! I try to take a little in as possiable!!

Plans all sound great!!! I love that bag you got for Disney, I found something I thought would work good, but now I want the bg you posted!! It is perfect.

I will look forward to seeing your Disney Halloween pictures between my summer trip and my Christmas trip.

The puppy is a cutie, and yes, I honed in on the book immediately!

99 Days!!!!!

:rotfl:
:cool1:

Just got back from Chicago today. Had to fly in for my grandpa's funeral. :sad1: It was a rough couple of days. My grandpa had a wonderful life, he was 95 years old, has 11 children, 44 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren (so far.) Very sad to say good-bye, but I know he will be watching over his (very large) flock.

When I got back, I realized that we're in the double digits!!!!

Such a happy thought after a couple of sad days!

Love the new bag! :thumbsup2 It looks like it will be perfect for WDW - lots of great storage, but the bag's not too big either. :)

You are completely right, it has just enough room without being too big and annoying to carry!

Yep, I do think you NEED one! ;) It's not too big, so you can't shove too much unnecessary stuff in it. I'm the same way...I always bring way too much stuff to the parks with me and drag it around all day!

It is perfect! I just traveled with it and it was great for holding my ID and boarding pass and everything. Definitely passed that test!

I will look forward to seeing your Disney Halloween pictures between my summer trip and my Christmas trip.

I can't wait till I can take those pics to show all of you!!!

I just read your entire pre-trippie in one sitting and I must say that I'm very excited for you! The entire "gang" sounds like so much fun!

How's Beth? Is the baby here yet??

:grouphug: Hugs...sorry about the loss of your Grandpa.

Hope to hear more from you soon,

Kathy

Oh, thanks so much for reminding me, KathyRN137!!!!

I can not believe I forgot to say that Beth had her baby boy yesterday, July 18!

He is a perfectly healthy little boy named Blaize (after St. Blaize).

Beth got through it like a champ. Beth is my absolute BFF, so I can ask her anything and she'll be honest. You can bet I interrogated her about pregnancy, giving birth and there will be many questions to follow!

It was really wonderful that Beth had her baby on the day of my Grandpa's funeral. I was so happy for her, that it was a little bit hard to be sad for myself and my family. But the torture of the whole situation was that I was only 2 hours away from her, but didn't have time to drive up and see the baby before flying back to Arizona! I will see them in August though. I can't wait!!!

Hooray! :cool1: The pregnancy is over!!

(Sorry you lost the pool, though!)

I am sorry about your Grandpa, your family is in my prayers. And Yay! a baby boy, send a congratulations to your BFF.

I almost won on the weight...I guessed 7 lbs, 7 oz. He was 7 lbs, 2 oz. Oh well, I think the prize was 5 dollars for each category or something. No big loss!

I am sorry about your Grandpa, your family is in my prayers. And Yay! a baby boy, send a congratulations to your BFF.

Thank you so much.

And I will tell Beth congrats!

I have a question...

(Oh, "Something There" just came on my IPod party shuffle. I LOVE that song! "There's something sweet and almost kind...")

Back to the question...does anyone have the Disney Rewards Visa? I just got a letter in the mail about it. If you do have it, can you tell me exactly what you get Disney World-wise with it? I looked on the website and it's not all that clear to me. I can't tell if I am tempted just because I am obsessive right now, or if it's a good thing to get.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much! :flower3:

I mostly like my Visa because it has Tink on it ;)

You get something like 1% back in Disney rewards dollars, that you can use at WDW. You also get various discounts, like on tours, at World of Disney, etc. I haven't paid much attention to them, since most of them overlap with AP discounts.

You do also get a free photo from one of the character places, from what I've heard.

Our trips are coming in less than 100 days!

Thanks for the Disney Visa info. I guess I don't really need another credit card.

Our trips are definitely getting closer!! I need to get down to business with my costume for the Halloween party. If only I could decide on a costume!!!

On top of what Crystal said you also get special financing for your trips to WDW and/or Disneyland if you book through Disney...0% for 6 months.

Hi Julie

I'm love, love, LOVING your report! Your so lucky to be staying at the ALK. I wish they would send me a post card...because I sure do spend enough money at DisneyWorld and who knows I could get hooked on Mod's and deluxe resorts. :lmao:

I love your new crocs the cotton candy color is wicked cute. Dont worry I wear size 10 shoes too and it stinks! I wish my feet werent that big. Oh well.

Oh congratulations to your BFF! Thats so exciting. Sorry to hear about your grandpa. I'm sure he will be looking over you. And wow 44 grand kids! The holidays must be a blast with your big family!

Can't wait for more of your pre trip! You have me hooked! :goodvibes

From a practical standpoint, you may want to first consider the weather. You don't want to be stuck wearing something too hot, it still can be quite warm in the evenings in October. But, it could just as easily turn cool!

Perhaps something that you can add layers to if it does get cool (a cape, a shawl, some kind of wrap) Either that or you could plan to wear long silk underwear underneath if cool, regular underwear if its warm.

Well, thats my two cents!!

Kathy

Maybe I should consider it because we are doing both Disneyland and Disneyworld this year...back to that website!

Hey! Thanks for reading!

Yeah, our family is nuts at holidays. Oh, and you should see our guest lists for weddings (precisely why I did a "destination wedding.")

I am a little worried that I will never want to stay at a value resort again. But I am SOOO looking forward to AKL.

The weather could be the deal breaker on most of our costume ideas. It's bringing back memories of having to cover up our costumes with winter coats on Halloween as a kid. Not that it will be THAT cold at WDW, but weather is definitely a factor. Thanks for the ideas!

I feel ya on the costumes! All I have of mine so far is the pants.

I've heard that the beginning of October is quite hot, but since I'm (and you're!) going at the end, I'm wondering if it will still be? Weather makes a big difference when there are costumes involved!

I suggest you be pirates, but then I am biased!

If it *is* hot, I'd avoid any costume that involves face makeup. I know how fast my regular make up melts in FL, I hate to think what costume makeup would do!

If you can fit an Adventurers Club night into your schedule, we'll probably be there!

I use my Disney Visa to pay most my bills online and I always use it to book my trips! I pay it off every month and I love having those Disney Rewards for spending $$$ on my trips!! Last year I used them to have a nice dinner at Le Cellier!!

I am very sorry to hear about your grandpa.

Good call on avoiding the face makeup. I forget about the humidity.

I'm hoping it's cooler by the time we go! I guess you never know with FL.

Which night(s) are you going to the Adventurer's Club? Maybe we'll work that in somewhere.

I was a pirate a few years ago for Halloween and I adored my costume. I had a (fake) parrot that sat on my shoulder, and I found pirate tattoos at Hot Topic. They looked SOOO real! One of them was a treasure map. I don't usually like to re-do costumes, so I think we'll have to choose something else.

I can't decide on the Disney Visa!!!
