This time we did it right! We're back!

I painted on the black spots using craft paint, if you mix the craft paint with textile medium it turns the paint into 'fabric paint' it doesn't get hard and crack and it is washer and dryer safe. I tried using Fabric markers but they went dry so fast, and regular fabric paint was more expensive so I got the craft paint at walmart, I think the brand was apple barrell, or craft barn, it doesn't really matter, I bought the cheapest brand it was 44 cents a bottle and I got the textile medium at Ben Franklins, but I think any craft store would carry it, it's 8$ a bottle but it goes a long way, I use it all the time to make gifts and my DD uses to make t-shirts for friends.

Thank you SOOOO much! Your method sounds great! THank you for being so detailed. I can't wait to try it. Is June too early to start making a Halloween costume?!?

By the way, did you ever buy the crocs? Which kind did you get?

I am so confused. :confused3

I have been trying to decide just what requests to make for our room at AKL.

I've been reading on the AKL board here and it's just confusing me more. With all the construction going on at AKL, I just don't know what to ask for?!?

I wonder if I should make a request as if nothing is going on there and then change it when the time gets closer.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Of course June is NOT too early to start on costumes.

Yes I have bought a pair of crocs this summer, I just got the regular ugly crocs, some refer to them as clown shoes:lmao: , but they honestly don't look so bad once you are wearing them. They did have the Mary Jane crocs at the store, they are much cuter, I tried a pair on since I purchased the other ones and I have found them to be not as comfortable, they are still nice, just not as cushiony in the sole. I am sold on the flip flop crocs and plan to get a pair this payday.

I have been struggling with the crocs thing since I started lurking on the Dis. My feet are so big (9.5), so crocs look even bigger and wider on my feet. I know I should just suck it up and buy some if it will avoid blisters! I looked at the Cleo Crocs at Dillard's yesterday and I loved them. I don't know if it's worth the gamble...do I go with the cute cleos or do I go with the tried and true crocs?!? Decisions, decisions...

First of all I love your PUPPY!! He looks just like my puppy when she was that little!! And laying there with Mickey ....... to cute!!

You will love AKL!! DH and stayed there the first year we went and we LOVED it!!! Our only reason for not going back is we like to try new things...one day we will make it back to AKL! Boma has the BEST food!!

Also, have you seen the MaryJane Crocs??? I have a pair and I love them! They seem a little smaller than the regular crocs. They are truly the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned!

Can't wait to read more!!

What kind of dog do you have?!? We have no idea what our puppy is going to look like when he's older...his dad is a chihuahua (to my dismay) and his mom is a cocker-lab mix. So maybe if he looks like your dog as a puppy, he'll look like your dog when he's older.

I can not wait to stay at AKL. We just ate there last time we were at Disney World and I was so jealous of those where were staying there. This time it's our turn!

About the Mary Jane's, I tried them on and they look much better than the beach crocs. So maybe I'll get the mary janes and the cleos. Thanks for reading and for your advice!

I received a call from DH today while I was driving from client to client and he had some great news! Ding had great fares from Phoenix to Orlando for the month of October.

So he jumped on it and canceled my old reservation, then made me a new reservation with the Ding fare. My first ticket was $305. The new ticket is $245. By my calculations, that's $60 in my Southwest account to be used for our next trip. ;) And by my own little brand of mathematics, that's $60 I can use to buy me 2 pairs of Crocs! :cool1:

I took a pic of my MNSSHP tickets because they are the cutest!

Also, here's a pic of my mutts because they are the cutest too!

Okay, I just have to ask...how does your husband feel about you taking a trip with "The Italian?" :smooth: I assume you're in the same room?

I'm enjoying your report--your excitement is contagious!

Ha ha ha!!! That's what my husband gets for not coming with us! :rotfl2:

Just kidding! Seriously, though, I have known the Italian since I was born. Sometimes I forget that we're not actually related. My husband doesn't even think twice about it. If he did, that would make for an awkward trip!

I'm just hoping we can get the bunk beds at AKL or we'll have to bring an air mattress!

Loving your pre-trip report!! :thumbsup2

First, I just have to tell you how cute your pooches are! We have 2 labs - a chocolate & a yellow - they are such characters!! :) My in-laws also have 2 labs & the chocolate's name is also Indy (short for Indiana Jones - LOL) - too funny!!

Your plans look really great so far & it looks like you're going with a fun group! :) We had SO much fun at MNSSHP last year - it was just the two of us & we met up with two of our friends living in FL at the time. Let me tell you, trick-or-treating around MK was just awesome!! :goodvibes Try to make time for the fireworks at this party - they are great! And the parade is a lot of fun, too - try to see the 2nd one - it will be much less crowded. ;)

I also highly recommend getting some Crocs - I have some of the regular ones & they are just awesome down at WDW. I am hoping to get a pair of the new Capri flip flops with the fabric straps.

Staying at AKL should be awesome - can't wait to hear about it!! I really hope to stay there someday. :)

That's so funny that your in-laws' dog's name is Indy! I don't even know how we thought of the name. My hubby grew up in Indiana, so that's the excuse we're using! Aren't labs the greatest? We're hoping Indy's lab genes are the most prevalent and that they suppress the Chihuahua genes!

I'm sold on the crocs. If you get the Capri crocs, please let me know how they are!

I am so excited about AKL, I can't even tell you! I'm sure you will get to stay there someday too. I never thought I would, but here I am planning it!

Thanks for the MNSSHP tips. I can't wait for that!

Picture if you will a sweltering Wednesday night (tonight) in Phoenix. I'm up in the gym just workin' on my fitness. The iPod is on shuffle. I am about 3/4 of the way through my weight training. DH walks over and says "I'm done, are you ready to go?" Now, normally my response would be "Yep, all set, can we stop at dairy queen on the way home?" :rotfl: However, the iPod picked the perfect time tonight to play "Love in an Elevator" by Aerosmith. Naturally, I start thinking of the Rockin Roller Coaster. And that's all it takes for me to stick it out and finish my weight training. Thank you Disney!!!!

Another MNSSHP tip I forgot to post last night - remember that it will likely be very HOT & muggy still in October at WDW. We went the first week of October last year & were hot & sticky in shorts & t-shirts for the evening. I think you would likely roast in sweatpants & sweatshirts! LOL

I highly recommend trying to find "cool" costumes for the party - oh, and you're right, there were definitely pirates EVERYWHERE last year! :)

The pups are cuties!

You'll love AKL. I'll take some pictures of it when we're they're in July and put it on our trip report just for you to enjoy until you get there! If you have any special requests, as far as spots/angles to take pictures from, let us know and we'll get them for you.

Our Bella is a lab/shar-pei mix...or so we have been told! She is a mutt for sure! Aren't the MNSSHP tickets so cute, I totally freaked out when we got ours in the mail and Aaron was like big deal :surfweb: !! I love getting anything in the mail from Disney! That is so cool about your airline ticket!! It is so much fun to save money!!

Oh no! I had no idea it would be so hot at that time! We might be back to the drawing board...

It might have been hard to get the guys to wear the dalmation costumes anyways.

Gotta start thinking!

Oh thank you! I would just love to hear what you think about construction when you're there and what view requests you recommend. Have you requested a certain wing?

I'm so jealous that your trip is in July!!!
