My favorite treat in the whole World is...
a Dole Whip!
Beth, Jason, Sarah, and I all got a Dole Whip float and promptly fell in love.
I absolutely hate this picture of me, but it's my first taste of this delicious concoction:
Beth enjoying her Dole Whip:
After our initial tastes of heaven, we headed over to Swiss Family Treehouse. I love Swiss Family Treehouse. As a kid, I was obsessed with the notion that my dad could build us a treehouse like that! And it's still fun to imagine.
And eating a Dole Whip while perusing the Swiss Family Treehouse =
After Swiss Family Treehouse, it was time to use our Splash Mountain fastpasses. Surprisingly, it was STILL warm and sunny outside, so we were all feeling ready for a little splash.
Sarah and I went first. I put my raincoat around my booty and zipped it in the front, then put my poncho on. We had ADRs at Fulton's for lunch and I did NOT want to have a wet booty for lunch! Sarah just put her raincoat on normally, with no poncho. I told her about my method, but she thought she'd be okay. We'll see...
I absolutely

the drop on Splash Mountain, but the part of the ride leading up to it takes WAY too long. The anticipation becomes too much to bear!
I hardly got a drop of water on me due to my super rain protection. Sarah's booty got pretty wet. I don't like to say "I told you so", but...
Beth and Jason were next. I gave Beth my raincoat and told her about my method.
I got to hang out with my favorite pumpkin again while mom and dad were on Splash Mountain. I just love that kid!
Beth and Jason both came out pretty dry from Splash Mountain. At this point, Beth and Jason had to bring Blaize back to grandma at AKL and we had a 2:30 ADR for Fulton's Crab House at Downtown Disney. So it was time to leave Magic Kingdom. It was a wonderful morning.
On our way out of the park, Beth, Jason, and Blaize visited the baby center.
I came across this window, which I adored.
We also saw this on the way out. I loved it!
Rather than go with Beth and Jason, Sarah and decided to take the bus over to Downtown Disney so we could get our shop on before lunch.
Up to this point, we had great experiences with the buses. Well, that was about to change!
I asked a cast member the best way to get to DTD. She said we should take the monorail over to the Contemporary, then take a bus from there over to DTD. Sounds easy enough.
So we took the monorail over to the Contemporary and we could not find the buses! Rather than ask cast members, we asked visitors where the buses were (brilliant, right?) and we were told the wrong location by not one, not two, but THREE different people.
Well, we FINALLY found the buses when we asked a cast member where they were. Why didn't we think of that before?!?
Once we actually found the buses, we waited about 10 minutes for the bus to come. Then, the bus stopped at 2 other places before going to Downtown Disney. Finally we arrived at Downtown Disney with 15 minutes to spare before lunch! We had left MK one hour and 15 minutes earlier!
We made a beeline for World of Disney and looked around a bit. I fell in love with a Mickey Mouse ring in that store. I decided I would purchase it after lunch. When we emerged from World of Disney 13 minutes later, we saw that it had POURED while we were inside. The ground was soaked, with puddles everywhere and everyone outside had their ponchos on. Luckily, we dodged that rain.
