Just coming over to wish you a Happy Canada Day! Since we live so close to the border it is big news here. :)

Why did you have to post pix of Le Cellier? I'm sitting here eating Tuna Salad....blah, I need that soup!

We mentioned before that DS was going to try The Pirates League this trip.

Yesterday he got a chance to look at the choices on Deb Wills site

Can you guess which he has chosen??????

Doesn't that look like so much fun?!

I will say he picked Smokey-Eyed Jack.

The one with the bug and all the eyeballs?

He picked smokey-eyed Jack. At least that's what he's saying now. The more I read about this, the more I like it. I'm wondering about the sword though. Does every child get one and will we be able to bring it home on the plane??

Memphis trip is 15 days away...and we haven't started our presentation yet as newbie mom is on vacation with her husband's family. Hmmm...hopefully the able-to-turn-on-a-dime factor of being middle school :teacher: will kick in at some point. Off to buy luggage tags and a new travel bag today:woohoo:

LOL....I figured that might be the one he chose, I can't wait to go and check it out!!

What kind of travel bag are you getting??? LOVE pre-holiday shopping:cloud9:

:goodvibes

So I realised this morning that I hadn't posted any pics from my shopping expeditions over the last few weeks. Decided that this morning while DS is still asleep would be a good time to upload and share.

First up are the new footwear, Teva mush for Mom (my first, and not my last, pair) and new Nikes for DS.

I have been wearing the mushies around all week and walking in them is as comfortable as my Nikes. DS is breaking his in today.

Next up: An airport bag. Some clarification is required here. I am one of those people who absolutely HATES to carry a purse.:headache: especially in the airport. With my upcoming Memphis trip, I wanted something that I could wear around that would hold my wallet (and passport during travel) but that wasn't going to be a pain in the patootie. This is what I found (came as a recommendation from newbie mom~she knows me so well:hug:)

Finally, we picked up these tags to help us identify our bags. We have red and black luggage so we needed something we would spot right away.

DS' s tag:

Now for those of you who have noticed a distinct lack of purchases for Dad, allow me to explain. As readers and subscribers to MeMom's threads will know, Dad is not a big fan of shopping. I don't like to pick out stuff for him that he then hates so  We solve this problem by letting Dad do his own shopping. He will wait until the night before we leave to go to Dick's and pick up 1 or two pairs of shorts and that will be it.

He did buy himself some new socks though.:rotfl: Now if only I could get him to buy some new underwear:lmao:

The pirate league thing looks like so much fun. I can't wait to hear how it goes.

My Dh is the same way about shopping. My boys aren't much better. Luckily my daughter is a great shopping companion. And for some reason when my daughter picks out something for her daddy he's always grateful and happy about it. So that's how I get around his shopping phobia. I always tell him his daughter picked it out for him. Even if she didn't. Shh don't tell!

There have been shopping expeditions and we were not told???

Everybody talks about the mushies, and I know they must be great, but I can't stand any between-the-toe thing, so I have to do sliders. I just got new sliders last week, and it's like walking on clouds! :cloud9:

The luggage tags are cute. :thumbsup2

Dad could always wait until he gets to Disney World. I saw a nice assortment of Mickey boxers in March.
I'm sure he'd be styling (think Ferris Bueller) in those! :cool1:

I'm telling.

We all know from experience.....

you won't! :rotfl:

Great purchases! I guess I'm going to have to try out the Tevas. I keep reading about them and how great they are.

I'm happy to hear that my husband isn't the only one who waits until the night before a trip to make all his vacation purchases.

Love the purchases!!! Now, those flip flops....is that a brand name and would they be comfy enough to wear all day in the park?:confused3

Jasmine bought a pair of Reef flip flops last year on splash mountain and went back and got a second pair.....she wore them everyday we were there. When we got home she bought a black pair at Swimwear etc.;) My girl is her mother's daughter, she's a shopper, thank goodness she's working now to help pay for this addiction she inherited from her darling mommy:love:

Dad doesn't like to shop eh.....GOOD more for you to buy yourself:lmao:

They are name brand (Teva) and the style is called Mush. I wore them all over downtown yesterday wlking with DS and they were great. I will still take my nikes and maybe my birkenstocks. Too soon to tell! :rotfl:

Well, I guess it is a step in the right directions. Before you know it you'll be buying all of your things ahead of time.

Amen!:thumbsup2
