This time my "news" is not so happy

I told you all a few weeks back that our daughter Heather was having a baby.
Well she has had a miscarriage. She was only about two months along but started having complications . The doctor says that this is a common occurence. Heather is doing well physically. She, her husband Jason and our granddaughter Raegan are very sad right now. As are Coleen and I. It will just a be a little less "joyous holiday season" for us all. Anyway I thought you all should know.

It is, unfortunately, very common. I suffered 2 miscarriages between DS and DD, one at 7 weeks and one at 11 weeks. Afterwards, it seems like every woman I knew came forward with their own story of pregnancy loss. I couldn't believe how many others had gone through it, too.

The losses were very painful, emotionally, but the pain did ease with time.

I started miscarrying on my Birthday this year. It is a very sad time. Please make sure your DD deals with the sadness of the loss. There are a lot of emotions involved that sometimes only talking to someone who has been through it can help.

I am so sorry for yours and your daughters loss. I have been there too many times, and it is a very painful (emotionally and physically) thing to go through.
