this postcard discount only some people get...

I just called Disney to find out more about these discounts some people get in their email that other subscribers to Disney emails don't receive...

The person at Disney reservations couldn't have been less helpful to be honest with you. She told me she had no idea how marketing was done and no one else could receive or book with these discounts even if they've stayed at Disney before unless they had this magic code, and when I asked her how to sign up for discounts so I could make sure I was signed up for the correct thing, she told me she did not know how to do that. Yeah, thanks for the help.

I asked if she had any idea if there would be discounts coming out for October travel like there are for September and she said "as I already said, there are no discounts for you to use." end of story I guess, but she could have at least been mildly helpful instead of being so short with me! I was being very polite...

I can't understand not offering a discount to a customer when they call and know abut it and feel taken advantage of because they have to pay more for a room than other travelers. It makes me not want to stay on site when they selectively offer discounts. How many people could possibly call up and ask for this? if anything it should tell their marketing people who actually wants to take advantage of these deals and would make a repeat customer out of me...I guess that's not the goal.

Not trying to just complain here, but I feel really left out as a loyal customer who's stayed twice there in the past 4 years!

I agree with you 100%, I have stayed on site many times and I never get the postcards or emails.
Im going again in Nov/Dec and would love to get a discount...you would think we could get one...we are staying at the Beach Club for 9 nights on the Silver plan....we are spending alot of bucks, they could throw us a bone!

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. We are Florida residents and annual passholders and we are currently booked at Pop Century paying rack rates for our October trip. It is very frustrating, but let's just hope something comes out soon that everyone can use.
 
Thanks jenny_E, I agree with you 100%. I'm sitting here reading about how everyone else seems to have gotten the email, and went yet AGAIN to check my email, but alas, nothing from Disney. It does make me feel bad to know that those rates are out there, and for whatever reason, the person staying in the room next to us was offered the discount and we weren't. :(

Oh well, I'm still happy with our 7 for 5 deal, so Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to Disney we go!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Here's hoping we get "picked" in the next round!
