Hey Guys,

Just took a one day trip yesterday (Thurs 8/21) with my sis and thought I'd report back on crowds, weather, etc. I took most of these pics with you in mind (especially you going in the next week or two.) Enjoy and ask many questions if you should so desire. *Please note: We did not do ToonTown or Fantasy Land at all (save Matterhorn).* I have dark hair and my sis has the lighter hair.

We arrived at the gate at 7:50am and stood at a Magic Morning Entrance that promptly turned to a regular Entrance and we were the second in line. They opened the gates at 8am.

Waiting to get in:

STRATEGY and CROWDS: I cannot emphasize enough the importance of getting there early and doing as much as possible in the first two hours (three if you have MM). After 10am, DL was getting crowded. Fastpasses for the big rides were out by 4PM. Here are pics of around from 8:05-9am

The firework crowd was crazy. It was packed everywhere. It was horrible but a great show!

RIDES: were kind of frustrating! Indy didn't open until noon, and went down at least twice after that. Splash didn't open until 8:30am. HM went down at least twice and Matterhorn once. TSMM was amazing. We waited 60 minutes at 10:30am and 40 minutes around 4PM.

FASTPASS: All Fastpass lines were backed up all day. Even though it did save time compared to the Standby lines, it was annoying and still took a long time. Use Fastpass first thing and often! Or you will be stuck waiting with the other 85% of people who don't use it (or don't use it correctly).

WEATHER: was awesome! We felt hot once around 3-4PM, but over all it was perfect!

FOOD: We had the Supersonic Salads at Taste Pilots

We also had a pickle, pretzels, and I had this yummy blended mocha drink from Blue Ribbon that was great. And my sis got a Dole Whip.

We had a good time, but I am not one for crowds, so don't think I'll be doing "on" season anytime soon. Have fun people!

Thanks for the pics!
Looked like you guys had tons of fun... :thumbsup2

I'm not going in the next couple of weeks, but thanks for the pics. I got a mini-vacation out of your trip report!

Awesome trip report, sis!! Ha ha. I was so tired when I woke up this morn. But i made around $50 at the nanny job. so i can't complain. See ya soon!! Say hi to the little guy for me!!

Thanks for the report and pics! I am happy to see the sign- I didn't know Indiana Jones had a show there. I sure hope it's going on when we go this winter. My boys love Indy.

Whats up with the Indy ride??? Did it ever open that day?

opp... never mind I just read the caption below the next photo

Splash went from 10 min to 75 min !!! EEEEEEEEK. That sucks !

I went to Splash to FP it first thing and waited 30 minutes for it to open. There were about 20 people behind me waiting to FP, while the Standby line grew long quickly. When we actually used our FP around 3PM that day, the FP line was incredibly backed up.
It was just a weird day I felt like.

When we went, Indy was having trouble. It was closed in the morning, if open at all. We go on once. FP quickly ran out and the lines went out down Adventureland. Somewhere I read they were having computer trouble and cars weren't acting right. Maybe that is still the case.

I call the first 3 hours of the morning "prime time" and that is when we zip around to as a many rides as possible. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the pictures particularly of the boards. That really helps to visualize the difference.

Unfortunately, the show is running only during the Summer months and is scheduled to end soon.
