So where do I stand to find these direct park -to- park buses? Some of the resort bus areas are fairly spread out and I want to make sure my family is in the correct place :)
Just go to the regular bus lines and you will see the signs to the other parks. They are easy to see and find. I don't think you will have a problem.

Good tip to keep bumped.

Also wanted to say a hi to the op and happy 4th of july. We moved to florida from wetumpka a year and a half ago. This is our first year not in wetumpka for the 4th since 2002. I really missed it!!!! We were just there for memorial weekend. i love what they added to the park downtown. Great sidewalks and finally a nice play area for the kids. :cool1:
Oh my gosh, it really is a small world!!! We just got home from the 4th of July Fireworks at Goldstar park and they were great this year. Hope to see you around the boards!

I actually didn't know this until a few days ago. The DIS does need to change their Transportation section then, it says to go from AK to DHS - to take a bus to DTD then DHS.:confused3 Not sure when the direct buses started...we have been driving our rental car to every park so I have paid attention since 2001. :goodvibes

There have been direct buses for many, many years. I'm sure glad you saw that type on the transportation board. Hopefully, the mods will see this thread and take care of it. Glad you now have the correct info for your next trip.

I am sorry that somebody did that to you, that is terrible. I saw that as well. As a matter of fact, I posted in one of those threads and somebody who posts like wildfire on this very TPASS forum kept arguing that it was not true.

Perhaps this will give a little something extra for the moderators to look out for - not only moderation of board rules, but also false information being given out...and it should not matter how many posts somebody has. ;)

Maybe what is confusing people is that you can't get from DD to the parks directly. They did this to stop people parking for free at DD and then busing to the parks. You must go to a resort from DD then to a park there is no direct service from there.

I have to laugh because I've been to disney many, many times and I remember several years ago being told by CMs that I had to go back to a resort to get to another park. Before my April trip this year, I came across some info on DIS that talked about taking a bus from one park to another and I thought to myself, that's not right (HA!). Imagine my pleasant surprise when I left the parks to see signs pointing to park buses! The DIS was right!

I am sorry someone was that rude to you. I was just wondering if that person was confused by the fact there are no Resort to Resort buses. You have to go to a park or DTD to get to another resort. The only exception here is the early morning character breakfast bus.

The one thing I do remember as a kid was that you didn't have to get off the monorail at TTC and transfer to another monorail to get to Epcot. I could be wrong but I swear we didn't have to do that. Wish they still did it that way.

My wife and kids were at WDW in November 1982, just one month after EPCOT opened. According to our vacation journal (and my memory), you had to transfer to the EPCOT monorail line even at that time. Would have been nice not to though! Cheers.

I suspect that some of the confusion comes from other discussions that have come up about direct links from Downtown Disney. So many have tried to bypass the parking fees by thinking they could just park at DTD and catch a direct bus to the parks. Nope...sorry...no can do! If you do that then you have to go to a resort to get a bus to the parks. A huge waste of time and really tedious on the return trip.

And that's all I have to say about that! :lmao:

Thanks Tiffany, for the reminder. :thumbsup2

And as for the out-of-date information on the site, that seems to often be the case, you really need to compare to other sites for correctness.

Thanks Tiffany...great info. I know exactly how you feel. I know there are a ton of people out there who insist you can't get to MK from DHS...drives me nuts! Thanks for getting the word out there.....let's hope people pay attention to it.

I am so happy I found these boards! There is so much helpful information here!:thumbsup2

Thanks so much for the reminder!! As staunch park-hoppers, we have really used all that bus info to our advantage. Its amazing that people will argue with you until they are blue in the face. That happened to us at ASMo last year. We were standing in line just talking to another family and this very subject came up. The dad got SO MAD at me because he insisted guests had to go back to their resort before going to another park. I gave up trying to help him.

You're suffering from a false memory on this one.
The monorail has never gone directly from the MK to Epcot.
A transfer at the TTC has always been required.

That's absolutely unbelievable! How could they miss the signs?

See, this is why I come to the DIS...EVERY DAY! Just when I think I've learned it all, I come across something new. I don't think I knew you could go from park to park. Gonna go look over my itinerary now and see if this new knowledge will impact it at all......
