This may be the worst baby name I've ever heard...even worse than Jermajesty

On the names Lemonjello and Orangejello:

I have a friend who teaches English in one of the public high schools here in town. She told me about two students in her classes 3-4 years ago with these names (brothers, but I don't know if they were twins). She mentioned them several times in conversations about "work." Now, she might have been pulling our legs (several others were involved in conversations about, of course, weird names), but I never go that impression!

Mom swears she's had Lemonjello & Orangejello as patients. There was also a Porkchop and a Nosmoking. Porkchop I'm pretty sure is real. Who knows about the others. But... we do know a lady whose name is North Carol Liner. Hand to God.

That is the worst name I've ever heard! Never am I going to bestow that name on my children (in the future that is)!!! I like the name Moxie!! But crimefighter!! C'mon

Penn Jillette grew up in the town next to where I live. His parents still live there. I'll let you all know if I see the birth announcement in our local paper!

My favorite was a contestant on Supermarket Sweep named "Velveeta." The host cracked up every time he said her name.

COOL! I love Penn! He always marches to the beat of his own drum.

If Moxie grows up hating her name, she can get it changed....no problem.

I loved how Teller had no comment and the article didn't mention the name of their show....LOL!

Oh, and just so we know... I'm envisioning an entire legion of children named "Sawyer," thanks to LOST.

I was thinking of Sawyer for a boy's name when I was pregnant with my first over 7yr ago now. I would hate if all of a sudden there were little Sawyers running around and I had named my kid that. A LONG time ago (before hubby, even) I liked Sydney for a girl's name. Then the little um tramp showed up on Melrose Place and that was the end of that :teeth:

On the names Lemonjello and Orangejello:
I did read another interesting article that said the whole thing about mistaken phonetics and nameing children: Female, Orangejello, Latrine etc... has happened. (snicker, snicker) :rotfl2:

This seems like the perfect thread to post the STRANGEST baby name ever! My husband does a lot of work in large companies setting up their ergonomic systems. A lot of his work takes him into Hartford. Well, while at a company in Hartford outfitting the secretaries with thier desks and chairs, he noticed one of the woman pictures and said something like, "what a cute baby". She thanked him and said the baby's name is.......

PLACENTA!

She had heard the name in the hospital and liked the sound of it! Hmmm....wonder why she heard the name at the hospital???

Top that,

Kelli

I would change my name as soon as I became an adult.

I have worked with a few kids with horrible names.

A girl named Thelastone. The mom wasn't going to have anymore kids. I think this was #9 for her.

A girl named Female. The mother thought the nurses named her child.

I once met a girl named "*****", pronounced Lah-bi-ah. "And may I introduce my brother, *****?"

Oh hell, it looks like I'm cursing up a storm. Just think "private anatomy".

Not too long ago, I saw a football game on tv and one of the player's names was Earthwind. I just wondered if he had a twin brother named Fire.

Earthwind Moreland! Got a kick out of that one every time I hear it :flower:

This whole thread is cracking me up! :rotfl:

My cousin named her son Enis (rhymes with....) and his middle name is D. Yep, just the letter D. It's not an abbreviation for anything. But my cousin has issues anyway...

I know a couple of little boys named Sawyer. They are between the ages of 2 - 5. I think it is a DARLING name, one I woulc consider if flowed with my last name....

I really like Moxie, too. The middle name is not so good.

The strangest name I have come across? Hmm. There is a Kamerion in DS's class - pr. Kamryn..
