I think all of the above would qualify for the Government Rate at Swan and Dolphin.

Yes. They have in the past. Be sure to ask about it, it was a significant discount last Oct.

Edited to add, you will have to provide proof of your occupation.

I remember that there were discounts at all resorts following 9/11 but I don't know if that continues today. I would definately ask for a discount.

If you get it, and I hope you do, be sure to bring sufficient evidence. Many different vacation spots have discontinued these types of discounts because people would book them and would balk at the request for an i.d. card, membership certificate or badge.

Just called Disney to check this out and got the most ignorant CM I have ever spoke with. When I asked if Disney offeres discounts for Firefighter or EMT's (which I am both) she said No! Disney only give discounts to miltary guest, an hung up..HOW RUDE IS THAT

I think that's crazy. I mean I understand how hard our military work and the great amount of danger they are put into everyday, but so are those who serve the people here at home. We are also put in very dangerous / life threating situations everyday. I just think that is very sad

Try calling the Swan and Dolphin. They have special rates for teachers, nurses, government, etc. They have their own separate phone number for reservations:

my husband in a po in nyc. after 9/11 they had a "heroes" offer, which was outstanding. The po was free, and his family was 50% off. Up to three rooms could be booked. We stayed at the CBR w/UPH for $786....6 nights, 7 days.

They have never offered a discount since then...

Our police association (union) used to have a great discount deal but it was discontinued. I'm not sure what happened there.
