Recently I read this tip:

"Going straight to the fastpass distribution area of the busiest rides when we first entered the park worked well also; we were usually able to get our fastpass, ride using standby and then ride again using fastpass (by then usually the lines had started to build)."

What is meant by "standby"?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I guess I'm just not up with all of the lingo.

Standby is the non-Fast Pass line. The "normal" line, if you will.

Standby is the normal line that you would get into without FastPass. I have seen it referred to as many things, so this is not a silly question.

There are no stupid questions. :D

"Standby" is going through the normal line and waiting like usual, as opposed to fastpass, where you bypass the "standby" line. Hope this explains it okay.

Most times, Standby = Normal Line

December 25th, NYE, Easter, a good portion of summer, and most Saturday's in MK, Standby = the place you "stand" while your life goes "by." Just thought that needed clarification.

I guess standby is what the normal line turned into when Fast Pass was born.:D
