This lady at Dunham's didn't have to lie to me. (LONG!)

I was looking for my son's Cub Scout uniform. All they had was one medium size, which was too big for him and big enough to fit me. I asked this lady who looked kind of busy, if she could kindly call the other stores so I don't have to drive there and find out they don't have any. Her response was "Oh no, all we have is a medium size, that's all we carry cause boy's grow so fast, we don't carry size small." So I asked her how about the other Dunham's. And she said "No, none of them carry small." So I thanked her and left.

The following day, we went to Dunham's near my house. I told my son, hey, let's just check and see, just in case they do have your size. So we went. The nice salesman lead us to the uniforms. WOW!! Tons of uniforms-SMALL size!! I was able to purchase the uniforms and the things my son needed. I was happy and he was too.

Either the lady from the other store doesn't know what she is talking about OR...maybe she doesn't want to help me. Maybe she is being lazy and don't want to call the other stores. Maybe she is too busy to help me and she had to lie.

If she lied... She didn't have to lie. She could have told me the truth. "Mam, I'm sorry, I am too lazy to help you." Or "Mam, I don't want to help you." I would have been fine. Then of course I would have talked to her supervisor just to let them know about it. Then I would have left the store - ok with it.

Poor lady. Maybe she couldn't find a job that will make her happy. Or maybe she is just too lazy to work anywhere! Maybe she is just having a bad day and she needs some romance in her life and spice things up! Whatever it is...I hope she will find that happiness. I am sending her some ~~**~~PIXIE DUST~~**~~ and maybe she can put a smile on her face and spread that happiness to her customers!!

I told you guys this was going to be long!!

I think you hit the nail on the head Fantasia; on all points. I've worked for a certain dept. store for 12+ years and have witnessed the very same by fellow coworkers, especially the older ones who have been around long enough to know otherwise. I'm sorry she lied to you and that she learned that she had, but I'm glad that you found what you wanted after all.
