This is why we bought DVC

So, I called Member Services yesterday and our vacation to AKL next October is all set. Then the fun part -- I got to call all of my siblings and let them know that there would be room for thier families too, if they wanted to go. My two kids were really excited to think that perhaps their cousins will be able to go too, since most of them have neverr been to Disney before.

I booked a two bedroom savannah view and I figured that if everyone in the family wanted to go, we'd upgrade to a 3-bedroom, but right now it looks like the two bedroom will be big enough (and if it turns out that no one else can go, we'll just have tons of room for the 4 of us).

I'm hopeful that at least one of my siblings will be able to come -- it will be so much fun to see WDW through a fresh set of eyes!

I agree! We will be at AKL next Sept- Oct for 10 days and there will be nine of us going (4 first timers). Our kids cant wait to go either. We have taken down family members with us on 2 of our last 3 trips.

It's great that you're saying you'll use the 2 bedroom either way, and I hope you have the visitors that you want! Did you request a dedicated so that you do have the 2Q's in the second bedroom if that's what you want?

We will be at AKV Oct. 4-10 next year, taking my Brother and SIL and their two kids and this will be their first time to Disney as well. We got a dedicated 2br and can't wait to go. You will have a great time.

Yes, I did reserve a dedicated 2-br. We did the same thing at HHI this year -- we booked a 2-br in the hope that my in-laws would be able to come with us. Unfortunately it didn't work out for them, but we really enjoyed the room to spread out!

My BIL/SIL are DVC members, and have been since 1995. I love when we can go with them. It makes the trip just that much more fun.

Hope they can make it, and that you have a wonderful vacation! It's always a great feeling to be able to do something nice for someone else.

We love it when our extended family can join us since we live in NH and they live in FL. and PA. Since some are only a couple of hours away they try to make it even if only for a weekend.

Being able to share our vacation with family is one reason we have as many points as we do.

We feel the same way. That is exactly the reason we purchased DVC. To us, there is nothing more magical than being in the most magical place on earth with the people that mean the most to us creating memories that will last forever.

We are members at VWL and took a couple of families with us a couple of years ago who would not otherwise go and they were first timers. That absolutely made the trip for us...seeing it through their eyes! You will have a great time!

Seeing Disney throught he eyes of first times is great. We also love seeing Disney through the eyes of Grandparents watching their grandkids having a blast with all things Disney.

Too many things to enjoy, just need more vaction time to do it.

Us too! We've brought a lot of friends and family with us, and they are always blown away by OKW accommodations.

It's such a great way to travel with loved ones.

Isn't it great? Last year, I brought both of my sisters and we had a great time just the three of us. This year, I brought DSis#2 and her 2 kids and we had an awesome time!
