I'm still happy with my DVC, too, in spite of the changes announced this week. I always knew that Disney had the power in DVC and I still think it is a good value for my family. In fact we just bought 200 points at VGC that will be processed tomorrow.

I'm glad that there is someone else out there who is still happy with their DVC because lately it doesn't seem like anyone else on these boards is but this too shall pass.

IMO, DVC is supposed to be about families...families disagree (hopefully, respectfully while accepting other viewpoints); yet when it's all said & done...

We're till happy with DVC too. The point change does impact us slightly for teh weeks we like to go, but not a big enough change to make me mad/sad/etc. I know eventually we'll need to buy more points to accommodate our needs, but for now it'll still be fine.

We too just joined too. We have just 100 points too. But we live in the Panhandle of FL so we can go often. We don't go at prime seasons. We go in Oct. (Aniv) Dec (birthday) and Jan or May. I have booked 2 stays so far. I have 2 nights in the Studio at AKV and then in Dec 2-5 plus the 4 night Disney Cruise in Oct. We are hoping the MNSSHP is the same time time too.

We just purchased in 2008, both Boardwalk and Bay Lake Towers, partially because of the new regs. that were being proposed. I still was a bit leary of the ease, but have successfully re-booked resort suites for 2 br villas at bcv, akv, bwv (twice) and am awaiting march first for blt booking. I was able to get the same dvc resorts and exact same dates so that even my flights and 180 bookings were not affected. So far, so good! I am sure that the next change will throw me once I am used to these; but our children's ages, school requirements, and sports are still in-flux as well. I think with a changing family, vacations will change for us regardless, and hey, will are still guaranteed the MAGIC!

I'm completely content with my DVC also. 1 or 2 points a night more or less won't break the bank.
