This is the list that we have been thinking about for our honeymoon..Please give me some advice on all of these food places.

Sci-Fi
50's Prime time
San Angel Inn
The Sunshine Season Food Fair
Cap'nJacks

I have been to a few of these restaurants.

50's Prime time was great - homey comfort food in a playful atmosphere. DH loved his freid chicken. The shakes are great, too!

San Angel Inn has a beautiful atmosphere, and I really liked the food. It is not TexMex, more authentic Mexican food. The margaritas are fantastic.

Captn Jacks is probably the only restauarant at WDW that I have been to that I would not rush to go back. The food was fair at best. The restaurant itself has a very pretty view, as it sits out over the water. The best part of the meal was the margarita - ranked up there with the one from San Angel. I think some other folks on these boards may be able to suggest another restaurant at Downtown Disney, as there are many to choose from.

I haven't been to the others, with the exception of Sci-Fi, but that was so long ago, I really don't remember much about it.

What ever you decided - have fun and congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Rose & Crown for dinner--- unless you are timing it to see Illuminations, you can do better in the World Showcase
Sci-Fi --- go for dessert, not the food. It is not good, and very expensive
50's Prime time --- one of our NEVER miss restaurants. We love the food, the service, and the fun!
San Angel Inn --- the atmosphere is very romantic. We like the food, as well
The Sunshine Season Food Fair--- a pretty good fast food area
Cap'nJacks - personally, I wouldn't waste my time or money. Go for cocktails at the bar and watch the sunset, but eat elsewhere!


Some of our favorites:

Narcoosees--- at the Grand Floridian. We love the view of the Seven Seas Lagoon, and the castle at sunset. The food is very good and the service is excellent. I would sub this for Cap't Jack's!

Le Cellier --- great steak, good service!

Cape May Cafe--- something for everyone. Cute decor, and good service. The dessert bar is fantastic, and if you like clams, mussels and steamed shrimp all you can eat, this is the place!

Brown Derby--- we love this for lunch. The salad entrees are great, as is the service. Try for an early lunch.

Hollywood and Vine--- great character lunch... good food, lots of fun.

1900 Park Faire--- great breakfast buffet...best on property!!!

Have you thought about Citrico's at all? This is one of the "more adult" and romantic restaurants in WDW... It tends to be a lot quiter than most other places (nice cushy chairs etc). I have never seen very many children here (especially if you go later), and the food is absolutely fantastic. The service is wonderful, and second to only the California Grill as far as the wine list. The decor is fantastic, and it's located next to Victoria & Alberts. Something my wife & I like to do is to have a drink in Mizner's Lounge listening to the band play in the GF lobby, then head to Citrico's for our dinner, then hop on the monorail and have a glass of Champagne at the California Grill to close out the night.... Makes for an enjoyable evening!

We like the Sunshine Season Food Fair just because we don't have to all agree on what to eat. Go at an off time or you'll find yourself in about as noisy a food court as could be designed. It doesn't have atmosphere, but there is plenty of selection.

San Angel Inn - love it! My dh and I will split next time because we couldn't eat more than half of our meals. My philosophy is that if we split I might be able to have dessert.

We're looking forward to trying both 50's PT and Sci-Fi.

Some helpful (hopefully) tips:

Rose Crown: Excellent choice - make your priority seating for the outside terrace in the evening so you'll have a front row seat for the Lazer light and fireworks show.

Sci-Fi: It's at best OK, but I wouldn't make it one of my priorities.

50's Prime-time: Very good and entertaining. You need to try the meatloaf.

San Angel: Outstanding atmosphere, service food, and oh those margueritas - there to die for. Get a table along the water. You won't regret it.

My suggestions: Spoodles at the Boardwalk Resort, the Flying Fish at the Boardwalk, California Grill on top of the Contemporary - get you reservation for early evening so you'll be there for the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.

Narcoossee's (check spelling) On the water at the Grand Floridian. You've got to have the "yard of beer".

Our absolute all time favorite - LaOriginale Alfreda De Roma at Italy in Epcot. The atmosphere, the wine, the entertainment, and the Ouso Bucco (Roast Veal Shank) is to die for.

You might want to try the Portabello Yacht Club at Pleasure Island - outstanding also.

And - Bongo's at Downtown Disney WestSide for Cuban fare. It's owned by Gloria Estefan and her husband. Why? Because the food is just to die for!!! Also, don't be surprised if you are lucky enough to be seated beside some celebrities. The last time we were there we were seated beside Rob Lowe and his wife and Michael J. Fox and his wife the time before that actually came over and sat with my wife and I.

For a real change of pace, if your there on a Sunday morning go the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues. To be honest, you're more than likely to see some "famous and near famous" people, oh yeah, and the food is great!!!!!

But, if you want some real change of pace for breakfast take the monorail over to the Polynesian early in the morning. Go to the Kona Cafe and order the Tonga Toast. It's French Toast, stuffed with bananas. You won't regret it!
