I told my oldest son that I had just gotten the name of a soldier to send to and asked if he would like to draw a picture ( since he draws ALL the time) THIS is what he came up with.. ( sure made me tear up!)

Ok, well I have tried to upload the page just as he made it, but I can't... so picture a drawing of the American flag at the top of the page and then here is his poem: ( his color choices were to make the poem look like the flag too)

As you stand Fighting tall,

Helping to protect us all,

Working sleepless day and night,

Marching In the Endless Fight,

Good Luck to you and all your friends,

I'll be behind you until the very end.

Ok, I think I got the spacing right now!

That is great!!!! Your son has a way with words, and is very creative. I am sure that it will be a very treasured item for the soldier.

Love it! I'm sure it will make that soldier's day! :)

Wow. How thoughtful and creative. I know your soldier will be proud to receive that.

What a talented young man. I hope you are proud of him, because I certainly am.

Thanks guys :)
And yes, I am very proud of him... I sent a link to this to his dad at work and made HIM cry! ( of course he is ex military, so I know it hit really close to home for him ;) )

Seems sad that a 10 yr old "gets it" and some adults don't!
