Ok so first off: I love Sterling K. Brown-that’s it that’s the tweet end of story.
And now the rest of the episode:
Turns out Mandy, Milo and Justin actually co-directed the overlapping scenes. While stressful, that’s also pretty cool and something I’m now wondering if they have done for the other trilogies.
I said this the past two weeks, but I love the teen/YA big three and am happy they are getting some final chances to shine.
I do not think this is the end of Deja and Malik. I commend Malik for actually keeping the decision he made to break up with Deja. He realized it was too much, and honestly probably would’ve come to that conclusion even without Randall (though most likely later on). Why do I not think this is the end? Two things in that discussion he had with Randall: their mutual respect and gratitude for each other AND Randall’s “Sometimes things come back together” part of the speech. While him and Deja might not wind up together, they will definitely be in each other’s lives.
Lyric Ross slayed as Deja this week. Like I said last week about the big three teen actors, I can’t wait to see what she does post This Is Us.
Also poor Annie -girl can’t catch a break. And neither can Tess at times but she should’ve told them she left.
I really hope we see Rebecca’s boxes again. I loved that connection.
So does Randall run for a higher office or president as foreshadowed in the season finale last year? Cuz we haven’t seen a single secret service agent in any of the flash forwards. This makes me think he either stops before he runs for President or he loses the election.
I’m happy Kevin is starting to find a balance with Madison and their co parenting. I’m glad Kate told Toby this wasn’t it (I’m still in the camp of blame both of them for this, but Toby was definitely wrong springing a freaking house tour on her last week).
Next week. Oh boy. On a positive, I do hope next week leads to a discussion about smoker safety. I also think Jack (not baby Jack we know he’s a big deal next week already) and Gregory will play into nexts weeks episode more than we think.
I honestly don’t know who will be at fault in terms of who was supposed to be watching Jack, but part of the reason I think we are seeing Gregory is he tries to stop him but can’t due to his condition. Like he sees the little guy walking around and he tries.
Either way it’s gonna destroy us. And I also think next week will start ramping up the start of getting answers to various questions/more flash forwards
