This is Us- Season six

I think she was still considering returning it, wondering if it was "too much" - not just that she spent a lot, but that she wasn't sure if it was really right for her.

That was my impression too. She usually does not dress like that but probably bought it to surprise Malik and was second guessing herself or contemplating returning it because later it showed her ripping the tag off as if to say, "I'm going through with it" (both keeping/wearing the dress and sleeping with Malik.

I just watched and thought it was a really good episode. I kind of like that Nicky doesn't end up Sally like I kind of thought he would after the revealed he was married in the flash forward.

Just a minor little detail that I didn't like was that Malik obviously lived in an off campus apartment, but Harvard doesn't allow freshmen to live off campus. Maybe he was able to get special dispensation because he had a child.

I guess I'm in the minority but I found this episode incredibly boring and even more unbelievable than usual...

First, Rebecca, Miguel, and Nicky show up at this woman's house announced and she just lets them in? And then proceeds to have heartfelt conversation with a complete stranger? It just seemed forced and awkward. Even worse was the dinner scene where Nicky describes being deflowered by this woman, in front of her husband who just sits there quietly? So weird.

Second, where did Randall think Deja was going (I missed the first couple minutes). How naive is Randall to think that her and Malik wouldn't be having sex? I mean, he's in college and already has a kid....so...?

I thought it was boring too. The dinner scene was so awkward, but it was brilliantly done. I am someone who can talk to a stranger for hours, I guess it comes from my years as a customer service rep.

Not only does the older Deja look like the younger actress, they have the same mannerisms when they speak. Great casting!

It’s the same as the younger actresses who have played Beth. They all have the freckle on their eye.

I’m so happy for Nicky!

I’m very worried that Miguel is going to die unexpectedly, and it’s going to be crushing. I really hope that doesn’t happen.
This is the thought I had watching this episode - he dies before her and that's not why he's not there. I just couldn't wrap my ahead around them separating. And this is what happened with my grandparents. My grandmother had been really sick, in & out of the hospital. We were sure she was going to go first. And then out of nowhere, my grandfather passed away of a massive stroke. She went out to outlive him by 5 more years.

_______

I'm one who loved this episode. I love Deja & Malik - and yes, that actress is amazing! I'm glad Nicky is getting his happily ever after and I'm happy they didn't do the obvious with Sally being unhappy in her marriage.

I am both sad to have this show coming to an end, but excited to see how it all wraps up. And actually glad they're going out on their own terms and with the story complete in their eyes.

It's interesting that Rebecca kept Pearson as her last name. I'm pretty sure her and Miguel are married. I could have sworn she has referred to him as her husband, but maybe she hasn't. I really love the actress who plays Edie, very excited to have her on the show. I think her and Nicky will play well off of each other.

Nicky seemed so confident and charming when he met her. Very different from his uncertainty with Sally.

I just want to know where the heck Beth is?!?! ....I was so hoping the car driving up was Beth...but no. I'm going to be really turned-off if they screw up Beth...and what was with what Deja was saying at the end when Randall asked how her drive up was? It just seemed like they made a point about her saying something about it going by quick...which I get the reference to life, but feel like I'm missing something.

We’ve seen Beth in the flash forward cabin. I remember we made a big deal of seeing her with a wedding ring because at one point we thought they got divorced. She was working at her own dance academy and I seem to recall she brought an old board game.

Oh that would make me so happy...I guess that slipped my mind...I was still living in the unknown with Beth lol.

Yes, she was already there (making coffee?) when Randall got there. She greeted him warmly with a hug, and they showed us the wedding ring because there was concern about them being divorced, since Randall and Tess came up together without Beth. Beth brought Pin the Tail on the Donkey which the Big Three played on their birthdays growing up.

Yes they also showed her at a big dance studio before she drove out there. So Beth is doing fine.

I can’t remember why Kate didn’t go with Toby was it her job?

Weird thing to buy for both of them a smoker? I know it ties in with the later Jack and he gets hurt and said it was what imploded there marriage. At least that is what I thought he said will have to back and watch it again.

Poor Kevin not seeing first her first steps. I thought he was going to start drinking again or date the young one…l Cassie is back . He does need to move into his own house.

Beth did the right thing with Déjà she will just sneak out again but I probably be the Randal and say you can’t go see him. Tough call.

Next week is definitely going to be a tear jerker. Also DEJA WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A PROBLEM?!?!? We all know if she said that to Beth it would’ve been over!
also has anyone checked on Tess and Annie cuz they probably need a hug.

also? Loved seeing future Jack even tho it was very ominous with the smoker

I have zero patience for Kate. That's all I can say about today's episode.

What, you're not going to say that I put the biggest hint of the season right in your lap? :bored:;)

Yes agreed. With Kate. I bet @ronandannette just loved .that episode.
If she hasn't canned the Pearsons already.
