Since we still have not seen Kate in any of the flash forwards and she wasn't at the birth of her granddaughter, do we think she is dead at this point in the flash forward?

Isn't Kate the one big mystery!

I always knew she was not with Toby from the house fast forward a few seasons back. The way he did not have the same intimacy in that scene.

So I worried a bit.

But I have become more optimistic. I imagine her somewhere having a grand life. Off somewhere, maybe performing?

Many grandparents are not at births. And remember Kate's children are of the same age group as Kevin's. And Kevin's son seems around ten to twelve in that scene. So the birth of Kate's grandchild is way further in the future.

(Unless Kevin had a second set of children.)

I don't. I just think they avoided showing her in the earlier flash forwards because they weren't completely sure where her weight loss storyline was going to go, and didn't want to lock themselves in to a particular look for her.

Also glad Nicky is going to get his happy ending. I wonder if Rebecca will keep in touch with Sally for a while? That whole thing was super awkward, and yet somehow they ended up salvaging something out of it.

Sadly, I also think that Miguel will pass before Rebecca. There was just too much set-up about how he was going to be there for her.

Does anybody know if she actually has lost weight? Back at the beginning it was discussed as being a condition of her contract, in order to suit the planned storylines. Today show just had the cast on last week before the premiere and she looked as large as she's been on the show.

I thought it was good. I have said it from the beginning, the actress who plays Deja is nothing short of amazing. Her and Nicky have always been favorites of mine. I just love Nicky's awkwardness. It was sad that the relationship between him and Sally meant so much more to Nicky, but I think he needed the closure to move on.

One think I noticed that does not really mean anything was the red floral dress.. Deja wore a red floral dress. In the flashback, Rebecca had on a red floral dress when riding in the car with Jack. When Nicky was talking about when he first met Sally he said she was wearing a red floral dress. Just ties the stories together I guess.

I loved the ending, glad Nicky finds Edie. I really like Nicky, Miguel and Rebecca together, wish he was staying in CA.

Not sure if Miguel will die before Rebecca. Was he at the flash forward when they were all around Rebeccas bed?

I guess I'm in the minority but I found this episode incredibly boring and even more unbelievable than usual...

First, Rebecca, Miguel, and Nicky show up at this woman's house announced and she just lets them in? And then proceeds to have heartfelt conversation with a complete stranger? It just seemed forced and awkward. Even worse was the dinner scene where Nicky describes being deflowered by this woman, in front of her husband who just sits there quietly? So weird.

Second, where did Randall think Deja was going (I missed the first couple minutes). How naive is Randall to think that her and Malik wouldn't be having sex? I mean, he's in college and already has a kid....so...?

Miguel wasn't in the flash forward. Nicky was sitting by Rebecca's bedside, which led to much speculation.

I love Edie already!

I have to agree with the PP--the actress who plays Deja is amazing! Deja has had so much growth! My DS15 happened to walk in during the scene where she's at the door in her red dress, and he goes, "Wow!" I said, "I know--isn't she gorgeous?" (My son is gay, BTW--he's much more likely to have been ogling Maleek. But, he could appreciate how stunning she looked.)

Deja and Nicky were both brilliantly cast (also whoever cast older Deja needs a raise because they look exactly the same!)

Not only does the older Deja look like the younger actress, they have the same mannerisms when they speak. Great casting!

I actually thought it was the actress who plays the younger version of her aged up and then I realized the voice was a little too mature, plus she was taller.
Manx then it was confirmed it was two separate actress and I was like “someone deserves a raise in that casting department!”

Me too. I missed that.

As for the dinner I get you. Not to mention jusf arriving, I thought the same.

But some people are that open. I've met them.

I can not even tell you how many strangers have told me anything and everything.

Randel thought Déjà was going to Tiffany’s to study. He even said no sneaking out to see boys or egging houses before she left. She said yes and he had her number. Her sister hugged her and said good luck so she knew.

I like to know why they showed us Deja looking at the dress tag , all I got from that is it said small. Than they showed Miguel doing Rebecca’s pills. The bottle said Rebecca Person on it take something daily . It showed the whole bottle before he put them in a divided thing.

I think she was still considering returning it, wondering if it was "too much" - not just that she spent a lot, but that she wasn't sure if it was really right for her.

I think her ripping the price tag off was just a metaphor of her defining her decisions.
also the dress was a thread last night so it could’ve just been as simple as she forgot to take the tag off
