I think Chrissy Metz is wearing padding. Her body shape seemed different in several of the scenes. Once I noticed it, I couldn't NOT see it.
Overall, I'm on Team Kate (not that you have to have a team, as others have said). The reason is, Toby is acting like he gets to make all the decisions--they WILL move to San Fran, they WILL buy this house, etc. Even if it's the right choice--and he does have good reasons, both for the move and the house--those are huge decisions that have to be made together--and both take some time to think through all the angles. He's thinking of his family, but in a different way--how will we provide what Jack needs in the future versus how do we provide what's best for him now. I also think they should have seriously discussed the LA job. He may well have been right, that it was too little money, but they should have taken a clear-eyed look at it. How much would they save not paying San Fran rents and commuting costs? Was there potential for growth, professionally and financially? If nothing else, it might have made Kate feel better about him rejecting the offer, if she had a chance to look at the details.
I also thought it was ridiculous that their "us time" weekend kept getting interrupted by work calls and texts. I know this happens--all too often--but, does this never happen when he's in LA for the weekend? All of a sudden, he's at his apartment instead of flying home, and the phone's going off constantly.
