This is Us- Season four

I thought it was an okay episode. I would have preferred if the new characters had been introduced over time instead of all at once. I felt like I was watching the pilot episode of a show. The way they tied it into the existing characters at the end was good. The only thing I really didn't like were the scenes with Jack and Lucy only because it is going to be really hard to sustain a storyline set 25 years in the future simply because we don't know what 25 years from now will be like. I think it will just seem like it is in the present time because of the technology/cars/etc available for them to use to shoot the scenes.

I really liked Jack and Lucy, but I don't think it's going to be an on-going story line that they have to sustain. I think it was a slightly longer glimpse into the future just to let us know that Jack's life is going to be good.

You could tell at the end of show when Nicky is getting arrested (and when she saw him standing outside the broken window) she knows him.

I also thought she was Nicky's daughter. The look on her face was of shock and recognition. The age would be right.

At the meeting, before Nikki threw the chair through the window, she said she was separated from her husband. Could have led to divorce

I mean, I suppose it's not impossible. I really thought Kevin would get back with Sophie. Seemed like Sophie was having some doubts about her fiance last season after she ran into Kevin again.

They could be divorced. The flash forward was about 10-12 years in the future.

I read that the actor who is playing Jack Jr. is legally blind himself.

Also, it didn’t click in last night but Jack is following in his mom and grandmas footsteps by being a singer.
The scenes with Cassidy are in present day, as are the scenes with Malik and Deja.

ETA: Oops, or maybe you were talking about the bed scene with Rebecca?

I was talking about the scene with Rebecca in the bed. Kevin’s son in that scene was about 10 so his mom could be the army lady.

I don’t really like her character. I don’t know why but something about her rubs me the wrong way. Maybe because she potentially marries Kevin and I’m too protective of him LOL

Her son is probably around 6 or 7 now, so what they showed in that flash ahead doesn't match Matty. I'm still in the camp that believes she's a Pearson cousin, not a love interest for Kevin.

I assumed that she had already been introduced to his parents (or parent) given that they were already engaged at that point.

Yes, I agree. Wondering parents or parent...
Also, by the time he was singing on the stage, Jack and Lucy were married. He was wearing a wedding ring.

He graduated from high school this past spring with my son. The school/town's claim to fame :) He may look 12 but he's really 17-18.
In the show, he's a junior or senior in high school.
