I just found your report...and your "bus meet" shout out excited me so much, it yanked me out of lurkdom! When my girlfriends asked me why I had a lime green Mickey head hanging on my bag, I told them it was so that my imaginary friends from the Dis Boards could recognize me. I got eye rolls. BUT, when you said hello on the bus, their jaws hit the floor! "It seems she isn't quite as nutty as we previously thought. The imaginary friends actually exist!"

Anyway--loving your report. It's giving me a between-trips boost. And your pictures are A-MAY-ZING!!

Holy carp, I am so stoked to see you here! I was so excited to see you on the bus... my husband thought *I* was the crazy one asking a stranger if she's on the Dis boards! You absolutely made my day (and I never forgot it, even though I'm late in writing my TR).

Thank you for the picture comments; I had so much fun photographing everyone and I can't wait to do it again in November!

According to my mom, the tea cups were also my first favorite ride at WDW. Great pictures of your spinning fun!

I have to agree with the girls -- Snow White's freakishly large human-hand-like gloves are just plain weird -- she should just wear white ones instead.

They're just weird, right? I mean if those gloves were made for princesses, should they be a size or two smaller?

Totally freakish flesh colored gloves. I get what Disney was going for with the coloring, but it looks so bizarre! I mean it WAS freezing cold, and I wouldn't want Snow White to come down with anything but...

Thanks, MeMom! I really loved them too though I wish we hadn't been in such a rush to get to the front of the park at the time; frankly I wish we'd slowed down a whole lot more in the parks!

The teacups at DL do have the pretty lanterns hung above; it's such a different feel, and when night falls the lanterns light up and it's like you're in the movie! Stars and lanterns above spinning teacups... ethereal is a good word for it. LOVE IT!

Snow White's gloves are a bit weird looking... It'd be so strange for me to go to WDW at a cooler time of year, since it's always been blazing hot when i've been. We went to DLRP in January a few years ago though and that was freeezing!
I don't think i've noticed the mosaics before but I definitely will now, we plan to 'smell the roses' a lot more this trip

Even now when we ask Stasia what she wants to do when we go to WDW again she says go to the pool... go figure!

After hitting the pool and relaxing at POR for a bit, we decided to head back to the magic Kingdom again.

We kept saying we'd hop on the monorail at some point, but with no ADR's to speak of and so much to do in the parks, we never ONCE did! So my kids (and husband) have still not ridden one. Bad Mom/wife. (Never fear; we have so many ADR's in November they'll be positively SICK of the monorail before we leave.)

This time we headed to Adventureland which we still hadn't thoroughly explored.

Tatiana enjoyed meeting Rafiki.

And then I was surprised completely by Jose wanting a picture too!

Then it was on to one of my other favorite rides...

Again, I am so used to the DL version of the exterior, i nearly walked right by this. Will I ever stop looking for New Orlean's Square?

Kyle and Jose went on first, and made a valiant attempt to video tape the ride. (A for effort, honey.)

Tatiana and I went on next but... well let's just say that photographing dark rides with a DSLR and no flash isn't easy! I'll see if I can do better in November.

We actually wandered across the way to El Pirata Y el Perico, but all they were serving was burgers... They were 'meh' but it was food which we were all needing at that point.

(Told you I was thinking of you, LL!)

I insisted on taking the Jungle Cruise at night. It's a perenial favorite, as long as you get a good driver!

I could stand in line and read these signs forever.

Unfortunately (or fortunately!) there was no line at all and we walked right on to a boat. Very few photos without a line to stand in!

I WISH Kyle would miss this in November, but he's really looking forward to having a house free of estrogen instead. I guess I can't blame him, having three little sisters can't always be a slice of heaven. He'd go if I asked him to, but I gave him the option of staying home with his Papa, so I have to respect it and not beg him to come. Though I do love his company... maybe one of these years we'll do a mother-son trip. Now THAT would be fun!

After enjoying Adventureland at night (two thumbs up, btw), we headed into Frontierland for some rides the older kids could enjoy.

This picture pretty well sums up the character trait differences between Kyle and Tatiana in a nutshell. Or, a log ride.

The girls and I hung out while Kyle and Jose gave BTMRR a spin...

And as they came out to meet us and we decided what our next move would be, we began to notice this!

We weren't in a great spot and the castle was mostly obscured by trees, but I got a bajillion shots of fireworks nonetheless. It was also at this point in time that we were reminded that my husband has a terrible dislike of fireworks, and loud sounds in general. (Courtesy of his time spent in the US Army I'm afraid.) Anastasia seemed to be affected by the sounds as well, and by affected I mean cried and covered her ears. The two of them walked away from the sound of the cracking and popping till it was all over.
