Headache, sore throat and I'm starting a cough.

My DH started in with the same symptoms last night so I went to dinner tonight at my sister's without him.

My day consited of, well you know, skiing. Being the end of the year it was really warm and the snow is rotten, if you don't know the term it basically means to mushy to ski. So some areas were tricky and lots of people were falling.

Also the chairlift we wanted to ski was closed. Today we were supposed to meet up with a friend of DS's. The friend can't ski the more advanced lifts and I suspect this is why he didn't come to the hill.

Also there was a big locals race but with the warm snow it's sticky and they weren't up to the normal freeway speeds of the course.

Also and this is where we spent a lot of time. They had a very informal pond skimming contest. We had a lot of fun watching this with a lively crowd. Thoug the pond they made was leaking badly. Even with a firehose filling it it was slowly draining. It ended before it was nothing but a couple.

Sorry won't be too many ski days left this year unless the weather really changes. It's great you and your DS like to ski together. I still remember going skiing with my Dad, the best days were during the weekend when he'd let my cut school to go, didn't happen very often so those were special.

All's quiet here DH doesn't feel well so he's sleeping and I'm listening/watching to Soul music of the 60s & 70s. Can you say flashback night?

Sorry won't be too many ski days left this year unless the weather really changes. It's great you and your DS like to ski together. I still remember going skiing with my Dad, the best days were during the weekend when he'd let my cut school to go, didn't happen very often so those were special.

It doesn't matter too much. It got really warm here a week ago and who knows what will happen next week. Winter could go for another month but the chairlifts shut down in a few week no mater what.

Long term is warmer than normal. Temperatures in the last 3 years have been above average.
