Y'all have fun Katherine!! We are missing seeing everyone but are there in paper and in laminating plastic (and spirit).

Great pictures from the San Diego Zoo. I've always wanted to go there. I can see by the end of this ADB trip I'll be trying to convince DW that we NEED to visit DL and surrounding area.

I remember that from Girl Scouts.

"Day is done. Gone the sun..."

Actually, that's ALL I remember. It's been awhile since I was a Girl Scout, LOL.

We did a funky version, Day is done, day is done, day is done,
Gone the Sun, gone the sun, gone the sun,
From the trees, from the hills, from the sky,
All is well, all is well, all is well,
Safely rest, safely rest, safely rest
God is nigh!
Much to the annoyance of our elderly leader who thought it was awful we 'changed' it so much :rotfl:
I do prefer a round of Ging gang goolie though ;)

I hope you all have a great trip, mind your manners, behave, don't forget to brush your teeth and bath every day.... Oh sorry that is my speech for Max before he goes to Europe............

Looking forward to your trip reports!

I can keep an eye on him if you want? ;)

Who is trying to sneak in my suitcase??? I thought those Europeans were all going on Disney Cruises - my mistake. :lmao:

Wow, those pictures of El Matador State Beach are stunning. Thanks for sharing them Marilee. Looks a lot different than Western NY.

Because he is The Most Interesting Man in the World.

We do get name tags for that Lyn. And you might not recognize me without the name tag. I can be a chameleon in appearance sometimes. :rotfl:

"He once coloured his beard with the secretions of an Octopus. Because Senor Jorge is, The Most Interesting Man in the World."

Back from a wonderful dinner at Yamashiro!
What a view of hollywood after dark......

Hey! I know the funky version, too. Sang it over thirty years ago. I am pretty sure I know Ging gang goolie. I also like Sarasponda and Tongo. Shall I bring my well-worn songbook on PCC 2.0 for an old fashioned sing around the campfire?

I think someone might have an issue if you light a campfire onboard......

More pics from the ABD folks!

A good friend of mine once told me that the Pacific Coast Highway was a "religious experience". Man was he right!

Due to the pace of the day, we thought we woud only go to San Luis Obispo and then turn around. Boy am I glad that we decided to push on or we would have missed this:

Each curve of the road brought a view better than the last one. Our goal now was sunset in Monterey.

We ran into these friends on the side of the PCH (elephant seals). We got within 5 feet of them...it was so cool.

Sunset outside of Monterey:

We decided to have a nice romantic dinner on The Old Fishermans Wharf in Monterey. It was yummy. So this was around 9:30pm when we finished and we thought we would try to drive the 5 and a half hours back to LA. Well that didn't work as I couldn't stay awake so we found a nice hotel to crash in.

Pictures cannot do these views justice but hopefully they convey some of our "spiritual experience".
