O.k I just got back from the surgeon and they did see an extremely enlarged ovary with a cyst. Women with colorectal (don't ya just LOVE that name???!!) are prone to having ovarian cancer especially those with tumors the size of mine that perforated the intestinal wall. So the general rule of thumb now is if they are enlarged take them out. They used to just take them out of every woman. I already have a partial hysterctomy so the only other side effect is early menopause! Well I sure don't want ovarian cancer!! They don't know if the cyst is cancerous or not. They'll biopsy it after surgery. I do have polycystic ovaries so it could just be a normal cyst. The surgery is a big procedure of at least 3-4 hours long, me staying in the hospital about a week, then in Houston at least 5-7 more days and since I only live an hour and a half to two hours away then I can go home for follow up. Not sure when the date will be right now. I have to wait at least 6 weeks to recover from chemo before they'll do anything and I need a lovely colonoscopy! Fun!! NOT!!!;)

So happy though that everything else looks good so I'm still praising God which I would be anyway cause without Him I wouldn't be here anyway!!

Thanks again for all ya'lls support! You girls are awesome!!

Wow -- sooo sorry to hear this but glad to hear you are gonna get it done. I just feel for you b/c you already have gone through so much already.

Praise God for his continual care for you!

Tat2ddisneymom- Thank you for all the tips! I will keep those in mind. Is the place in AKL you are thinking of called Boma? If so, I have heard a lot of good things about it. :goodvibes
YES! That's the one! You're welcome!
:lmao::lmao: And I thank you dearly!! Chris told me that he told FP about our trip and the discount we got through Becca. He said FP's jaw just dropped and Chris could tell he was totally jealous. I now it's evil but that right there made me laugh and feel good. HAH!! I told Chris to tell FP we're not taking a basketball team with us (him and his bagillion kids LOL)
FP is such a doofus! Actually, I'm jealous of your discounts, too!:lmao:

It was NOT as bad as Karen's late night Ambien antics! You would literally be rolling on the floor laughing at her!

Well, I hope you can get those suckers out ASAP! Surprises me they left them in there if you already had a partial and have PCOS. What are they thinking? Well, good luck with your colonoscopy. I know it's a crappy procedure (no pun intended :rotfl:), but you just beat cancer! I know you can do it!

I had my partial done right after Braeton was born. He was a week old. The Dr left my ovaries in knowing he would probably have to take them out because I didn't know I was getting a hysterectomy (they found out when they went in for exploratory surgery) and he knew if I couldn't at least try to nurse I would go ballistic! Of course they really didn't expect Braeton nor I to live so....

I've had problems with them off and on so it's really no surprise but yes the thought it may have cancer on it right now does scare me a little but I've made it thus far!! I'll make it a farther!!! :goodvibes

Leah, what a blessing knowing you is to me! I am SURE everything is going to be fine... more than fine! It's going to be FABULOUS!!! Just gotta get some rest and regain your strength. :flower3:

I'm so sorry you have to have another surgery but I know you will make it through this and we are all here for you. I am very thankful it's on a part of your body that you can just get rid of and live without but I know it's still stressful.:hug::hug: Love you girl!! God will certainly see you through the rest of your fight.

FP is such a doofus! Actually, I'm jealous of your discounts, too!:lmao:

Yes yes he is.

Aww I wish I could share the discount with everyone! Once Chris and I retire and I become a CM myself I'll hook all my DIS buds up :goodvibes That's only a short 20 years away

I don't get the sore loser attitude. I would think on a website like this you would find more supportive people.
