O.k I just got back from the surgeon and they did see an extremely enlarged ovary with a cyst. Women with colorectal (don't ya just LOVE that name???!!) are prone to having ovarian cancer especially those with tumors the size of mine that perforated the intestinal wall. So the general rule of thumb now is if they are enlarged take them out. They used to just take them out of every woman. I already have a partial hysterctomy so the only other side effect is early menopause! Well I sure don't want ovarian cancer!! They don't know if the cyst is cancerous or not. They'll biopsy it after surgery. I do have polycystic ovaries so it could just be a normal cyst. The surgery is a big procedure of at least 3-4 hours long, me staying in the hospital about a week, then in Houston at least 5-7 more days and since I only live an hour and a half to two hours away then I can go home for follow up. Not sure when the date will be right now. I have to wait at least 6 weeks to recover from chemo before they'll do anything and I need a lovely colonoscopy! Fun!! NOT!!!![]()
So happy though that everything else looks good so I'm still praising God which I would be anyway cause without Him I wouldn't be here anyway!!
Thanks again for all ya'lls support! You girls are awesome!!
