We also had a miracle today -- Jerry walked into a meeting and was told that he still has a job -- he is officially approved.

We didn't know that. When he took the job in November we thought it was a done deal.

Turns out there were some security issues that were still being worked (since he is govt contractor).

I just wanted to let anybody that didn't notice know that Leah is cancer free!!!

It will be! We haven't told anyone but our parents yet, but we are getting married on Feb 18th. We were going to do it on the 14th, cause that's our anniversary, but with it being a Tuesday, we moved it to the Saturday so my Dad could make it.

And her being cancer free is a great reason to smile!

I am so excited! Prices are actually pretty good right now and we are looking at staying at the Port Orleans or Caribbean Beach Resorts. Not sure which is better for location, quality, etc. We can't afford a lot, but want something a little nicer than the All-Star or Pop Century resorts if we can.

Port Orleans for sure! It's the nicest moderate!

Since this is yoru honeymoon, I vote for Port Orleans Riverside. You can take a boat to DTD at night. The rooms are nice. The grounds are gorgeous....I swear it is nicer than some of the deluxes.

Plus, there is a piano guy named Bob Jackson who plays in their lounge a few nights a week and OMG. he is a riot. You just can't be shy, as he will get you involved

Yeah, what she said! Is Bob still there? In all the roaming around I've done at that place, I still have never seen him.

I am liking the sound of Port Orleans more and more. That is probably the one we will choose as long as prices stay the same for the next month.

My Dad has offered to book the trip for us as a wedding present! Very generous of him I know! But he says he won't book it until after we are married, which is fair. So after the 18th of Feb. And I go back to work the beginning of May, so we are looking at mid April for the trip

I want to make some meal reservations now, just because if we wait until Feb, there's some places we might not get to eat at. The top on my list are Chef Mickey's for dinner and Ohana's for breakfast. Those are really the only character meals we want to do.

Does anyone else have any recommendations? We are planning on getting the dining plan that includes one sit down place a day.

Chef Mickey's dinner = BLECH! You're better off going to breakfast! I have lots of recommendations! CRT, 50's Prime Time, Beaches & Cream (no reservations and you have to pay out of pocket, though), Liberty Tree Tavern...I guess it depends what you like. Oh, and my kids really liked the meal at that African restaurant at AKL...what the hell is the name of that place? My brain is gone. I don't like it so much because it's a buffet and buffets freak me out, but they really liked the food.

My scans and labs came back with no cancer showing. You can't see colon cancer by a ct scan so I'll be having a colonoscopy (Oh Joy!!! ) in the next month or so. But the good news is even if there is some cancer left in there they should be able to get it out during my surgery. But since it's not in my blood or anything it's probably not tere!! God is good and I am HAPPY!!! My boys couldn't hardly speak they just kept saying Thank you God, Thank you Lord in high whispers!!! LOL I can't wait to see them and hug them! They just left Tues but I had to leave when thy were still asleep so I missed their hugs although I got them the night before!!!

I am sorry I haven't been on as much but as I recover I'm sure I'll be back to bug ya'll some more!!

His manager said that he really thought the "powers that be" were going to let him go for various reasons, some personal, some corporate ... he said he was totally surprised ... he thought he was going to be calling Jerry in for bad news.

So my very first thought was this is another miracle from God. Only he could have turned the tides.

And the cool thing was that God even protected us from all the worries and scariness that we would have experienced had we known!!!

I am continually blessed and surprised by the limitless wealth of God's goodness!

I made Scotty a book one year for Fathers Day and he loves it. I made one last year for Jason. I made it for him to have the day they buried my sister. It gave him something to entertain him.

O.k I just got back from the surgeon and they did see an extremely enlarged ovary with a cyst. Women with colorectal (don't ya just LOVE that name???!!) are prone to having ovarian cancer especially those with tumors the size of mine that perforated the intestinal wall. So the general rule of thumb now is if they are enlarged take them out. They used to just take them out of every woman. I already have a partial hysterctomy so the only other side effect is early menopause! Well I sure don't want ovarian cancer!! They don't know if the cyst is cancerous or not. They'll biopsy it after surgery. I do have polycystic ovaries so it could just be a normal cyst. The surgery is a big procedure of at least 3-4 hours long, me staying in the hospital about a week, then in Houston at least 5-7 more days and since I only live an hour and a half to two hours away then I can go home for follow up. Not sure when the date will be right now. I have to wait at least 6 weeks to recover from chemo before they'll do anything and I need a lovely colonoscopy! Fun!! NOT!!!

So happy though that everything else looks good so I'm still praising God which I would be anyway cause without Him I wouldn't be here anyway!!
