45 days tomorrow for you :cool1:

I know. It's crazy. I decided against making any dining reservation except for the restaurant we are eating at for Valentines Day. I figure that it is going to be so slow at the parks that we won't need any for any of the other days.

You know Nicole, Carla and I are all going to be in a Disney park at around the same time.

Thats good idea. where you eating for Valentines Day?

Oh how funny is that:goodvibes

chele, how far away is the hotel you are staying at from the parks? Ayres is it?

Can you walk or do you have to drive?

oh yum. That is definitely my kind of place
beverages sound good too

It's definitely Scotty's type of place too. The nachos sound so good.

It is about 2 miles. We can drive or ride the shuttle. I think we will probably ride the shuttle. Or at least this is the plan right now.

yumm....nachos sound great popcorn::

oh okay, was just curious

so many good neighbor hotels

even though I love to stay at DL hotel, like 1000 cheaper to stay at a good neighbor hotel. Really hard to justify :rolleyes1

I know. You can get a room at Hojo's which is within walking distance and has a pirate pool that Trent would love.

I like Ayre's partly because it is a bit further off. That way we can de-stress at night. Plus the price is actually really good for the hotel that is ranked number one on tripadvisor.com. To me this is the best way to check out the different hotels in the area.

so i explored and I really like HoJos

I also like that I can get a discount by using a code from mousesavers website :thumbsup2

I think I want to do either the kid suite or the the one with queen beds with disney view :wizard:

Thank you

I have been exploring trip advistor too

everytime I am like this is nice, I scroll through the pics and then see a room with like a tv from the 90s and it turns me off...weird I know...

I love trip advisor. It can give you a good idea about the hotels. Especially is you read the reviews.

From what I understand you can see the fireworks from the Disneyland view rooms. Or if all else fails you can see them from the pool if you leave the parks early. And they are sooooooo much cheaper than the resort hotels and as close.

Yeah love reading the reviews and it gets mostly good ones

When you are reading reviews and there are like 20 negative ones in a row, you know to move on :thumbsup2

Oh sweet

Yes, I can't justify the extra cost, when I can easily just walk in any of the three onsite hotels and check it out without staying there

Do you know if htere are any rides that normally get rehabbed around July?

Like with WDW, Splash mountain is always rehabbed in January. It is just a given.

I want as many rides as possible to be open. So I figured going in the summer , I have the best shot at accomplishing that :goodvibes

That is what I always try to explain to people coming out for the first time. You can stay for so much cheaper at a good neighbor and still be within walking distance of the parks.

During the summer there isn't any rehabs unless they are the major ones like the rehab for Star Tours was.

hi All!!! Hopee you all had a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I didn't get on Facebook or have my phone with me much that day so I didn't get to text or message anyone! Sorry but I did think of you all! It was a very very busy day for us! Hard on but a good one since we were with family. I was in extreme pain and really missing Shannon. Braeton cried from our house to my Moms from missing his Dad (Thankfully it's only about a 15-20 min drive!). Tyler did o.k. Was a little down that morning but picked up pretty good. They got a HUGE Christmas with just about everything they wanted and more!! Plus money to go shopping!! It's unbelievable what all they got. They both went home with family so they only took a few things and I am only going to be letting them open up the boxes a little at a time so they can actually enjoy playing with their stuff. Well Tyler got big guy items so he's o.k but Braeton got a ton of building things etc... Both got mp3 players with video etc... Tylergot a PSP and gave Braeton his DS. They both got games for those plus more WII games Kareoke machine board games, card games clothes, shoes and the list goes on and on. Unbelievable! I even had apresent under my tree for me! Some people we met last year showed up with Christmas dinner and 6 gifts each for the boys and a bath and body works package for me! So nice!!!
So now that Rachel is 6 I'm trying to introduce her to some good literature that she may enjoy.

We've been listening to the books on tape first, then watching the movie, if there is one.

So far we did "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "Pippi Longstocking".

We are now listening to "The Wizard of Oz". Even Elizabeth told me that "the house came right down on the bad witch" so she is definitely picking it up, too.

What other books are good ones? "The Sound of Music" is also on my list.

We haven't done Harry Potter yet...I think I'll wait until they are a bit older first.
Those are some of my favorites besides Harry Potter. I was actually going to suggest Pollyanna and Anne of Green Gables also. You can get Pollyanna on audio. I had it at one time for my niece. Can't remember where i got it from but I know Amazon usually has it and I think you can download or stream it. Just try googling it. Also I love Amelia Bedelia. She's just hilarious!

I'm getting excited for my trip finally!! I heard some news you might be interested in. Carsland is rumored to be having its official opening at the end of May.

Sounds like you got spoiled for sure and that is a good thing!!

I love Amelia Bedelia. I had forgotten all about her. Those are some funny books. For boys one of my favorites is Captain Underpants. I laughed so hard at those books when Loren and the girls read them to me.
