I'm ok, bored at work. Hopefully I get off early.

Alex is home with Chris today. This week is the first time Chris has been in charge of taking care of Alex totally on his own. He did pretty good yesterday. So far so good today. It only took a year for Chris to feel comfortable enough with taking care of him on his own haha!

Oh this is a good thing for both Chris and Alex. It gives them that important daddy/son bonding time. It also will go a long way towards giving Chris confidence to care for Alex so that you can have alone time. That is a worth its weight in gold.

Definitely! The only time alone I've had since Alex was born has been while I'm at work. Maybe now I can start going to my Mom's quilt class again. I need to find some friends to have a GNO with too.

Yes I do. I did some back in July but I haven't picked up my quilt since then. One of these days it will get done

I stopped doing all my crafts when the kids were little and it was nice when I started them again.

I bet! It's so hard to find time just to sit and relax, let alone do crafts when your kids are young. Did you ever post pictures of your knitting projects? If so, I missed them.

It's crocheting and the main one is a gift for someone on disboards so until I give the person the gift no pictures.



I did take fleece material and hem the edges for Jason. He loves the fleece and Thomas the Tank Engine so I made him that. Plus I have some Cars 2 material for another that I hope I can finish in time. I am hand sewing the edges, it is just tedious.

Very nice! My Mom made fleece blankets for all the kids last year. They turned out so cute.

it sounds like you lost one of your best friends...I'm sooooo sorry! Pets are so much a part of our lives! I still think a lot about Butterscotch. This is our first Christmas without him. He loved sleeping under our tree and I'd always buy a gift for him and put it in his stocking. As we were unpacking the Xmas stuff, I saw his stocking...just didn't have the heart to get rid of it, so I just packed it back up.

Enjoy looking at her photos and remembering the good.

We still have our 2 late dogs' stockings, also. Coal, our chihuahua who got hit by a car, and even Chance, our great dane who unfortunately bit me and ended up being put to sleep.

Thank you. It was tough but we knew that it was going to happen. Shelby was 13 years old and German Shepherds normally live 10 to 12 years. We were blessed.
