It's official!! Kacy is registered for college and has her Pell Grant. We will have no out of pocket expense. What a relief that was.

we are VERY excited (and nervous...b/c it is never certain til the very end)

It just really fell into our laps only a couple of weeks ago! We still have to do our home study and background checks, and decorate a nursery in the midst of it all!

The birthmom has a c-section scheduled already, November 17, which is the day before our 5th wedding anniversary. BEST. GIFT. EVER.

it's not public yet, by the way. We haven't even told Mike's parents!

One of my friends named her little girl Myracle because it was such a miracle to get a child after many, many years. She is my special buddy and acts just like her mom.
I am so so so happy for you!!!!!!

I took Kody shopping for school clothes today. We went to one of her favorite stores. It is called Rue 21 it is basically geared to junior sizes. They also have clothes for young men. I told her she could spend $100.

She picked out 10 tops, 2 pairs of shoes, 7 pairs of socks, make up and two hair decorations. We walked out of there having spent $85 and change. She totally rocks the money.

Kody and Loren start back to school two weeks from today. They barely got two months break.



Without a doubt. And she has enough clothes that she can mix and match and not where the same outfit for two weeks. I told her how much money she had to spend and she kept track the whole time.

Thanks!!! Tired all the time! Other than that pretty good considering! Mornings are good for me. I run out of steam after a few hours but it'a funny because I've never been a morning person and now even on nights I don't hardly sleep I have more energy in the a.m and I am almost bouncy!!!

Okay destress time. My jerk of a FIL was telling someone something about his three children, well he has four. He has shown just what a creep he is. Loren and I both got friend requests for him on facebook and Scotty, and the girls did not. I am sooooooooo angry right now.

Today's drama, I took Scotty to Kaiser to be checked for melanoma. We are waiting on a call back.


Driving home from Kaiser I decided to stop at Trader Joe's for a few things. We left there and because I stopped at Trader Joe's I took surface roads otherwise I would have gone on the highway. I drove down the road away from there and my tire went suddenly flat. It had a chunk of tread out of it. Had I gone on the highway I probably would have had a blow out. Thank goodness for Trader Joe's. I ended up needing two new tires and they were $250 for two new tires. There goes the budget.

They are a great store for somethings and frankly they are reasonable. I bought jars of sauce for $2.99 ans if I went to the regular grocery store they would be more and not as good. They sell odd things you may not find other places and they have good prices. Their pasta is cheap, they have excellent fruit and veggies. If you get a chance check them out.

Just poppng in to say hello real quick before I Hit the bed

Sorry was not around this weekend

We took a spur of moment trip to KNoebels amusement park. It is free to get in and u just pay for whatever rides you want to ride

The place was a hoot. It was like a whole other world

Then today, we went and took a tour of a mine, which was a lot of fun. It was so cold down there. THey actually had jackets for you to wear

Then took a steam train tour and went back to Knoebels for a few hrs

Very fun weekend

What did everyone else do?
