My sister and her husband never considered insurance a high priority, so there was no money to take care of this. The money has had to be collected. It's not a pretty story.

while we're discussing movies...we watched No Strings Attached last night (with Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman)

Thanks for the head's up. Now that Redbox and Blockbuster are offering so many free movie rentals and groupons, I'm getting back to watching more.

I just rented "I am #4" and "Skyline" ...both were alien themes ... corny but I liked them. I am #4 was better than Skyline.

Hello again friends ... we're back, but just for a few days. We had already planned to drive down to my mom's next week so we'll be back in the dang truck on Monday for another 7 hour drive. Tom is going to Houston for work so I thought it would be a great time for the kids and I to go visit Gramma. Didn't plan on an extra trip to SC in between Orlando and Tampa! Three long car trips in as many weeks ~ what a summer vacation so far!
Michele, I'm relieved to hear the service for Kathy has finally been scheduled. You need that, I know.

Ugh -- that's a lot of traveling. Hope you have fun though and visiting with family is good!

Yeah, I guess I need to remove my ticker, too and add our January trip. But I just got email that my friends who were going to go with us are probably going to Disney LAND instead, since she has family in CA.

But they aren't deciding yet. UGH...for me who is a planner, I want to start planning right away and hate having to wait on others.

Hi all! Well if you all knew my attitude I had for about an hour today it would totally destroy the image you all have of me so I won't spoil it!!!!



I think it allhad to do with the very little sleep I had last night and just being tired of being so tired!! And knowing the tiredness is just going to get worse!!! LOL!! I have been working almost all day on trying to get all these papers in order for MD Anderson and making sure all the right things were sent in to Social Security. I have to try to get into a program at MD Anderson for people with no insurance until I HOPEFULLY get some Social Security so I can have Medicaid. Sounds awful I know. I really am not wanting to have to get hand outs but I have to have something to get the treatment I need so I can hurry up and get back to work. I am trying to look at it as a hand out. When I was there Thurs and Fri they found a cyst in my pelvic/ovarian area. It could be nothing or it could have metastized from my colon cancer. If it did then I am now stage 4. If not then it won't hurt. Either way the treatment is the same so instead of testing it we are trying to just let me heal so I can start Chemo ASAP. They wanted me to be able to start a week from Mon or at least start all their pre eval stuff since they wil be doing all there own testing. But with the surgery I just had there is too much of a risk for abcess to do testing that's just going to cause me longer time to recuperate. Problem is I can't find all the papers I need for MD Anderson so I a m having to call all these different places and get copies and on top of that I can not find Shannons Death certificates. I had 6 extra ones left and copies and they aren't where they are supposed to be. I have no idea what happened so now I have to go to vital statistics tomorrow and get another one and I just don't want to have to do that!!


O.k. I am better now. Just needed to vent! Thank you!

On the plus side I have gained almost 4 lbs this week!!!

Let's get one thing straight... if ANYONE in this country deserves SSI it is YOU. You are the prime example of why it is necessary. Don't let others who take it when they shouldn't make you feel guilty about getting it. You need this and if this government has half a brain you will be awarded it.

Yay for 4 pounds!!! That is awesome!

When are the boys done with school? Lazy summer days will be a blessing, I'm sure.

I had Loren to the dr today. He has pneumonia. The dr put him on Z-Max and all he seems to want to do is sleep.

Kelly, we do not have summer. It is like winter here. The high is at most in the low 60's for the last week. It has rained at least a few drops everyday. We are supposed to get 2 inches of rain here and 2 feet of snow in the mountains tomorrow. Sunday is supposed to thunder storms and hail. I would love summer.

Kelly, we do not have summer. It is like winter here. The high is at most in the low 60's for the last week. It has rained at least a few drops everyday. We are supposed to get 2 inches of rain here and 2 feet of snow in the mountains tomorrow. Sunday is supposed to thunder storms and hail. I would love summer.

And no it is not normal. By now we are normally have 90-100 degree days. And we go crazy trying to stay cool.


We have not had so many thunderstorms in a long time. We normally have one a year at most. This year we have been overwhelmed. Including a tornado in our county.
