You know I was trying to think of what I could do to help me to get more in a trip mood. I think lists will do it.

They will at least appreciate how much nicer I am about getting them up in the morning. Scotty has said he will use a cowbell to wake up Loren.

The girls will find that when their dad takes and picks them up from school that it will be different. The first time they yell at him or get disrespectful he will give them the bus schedule and money to ride the bus.

And they will have no choice but to cook what I buy groceries for or they will have sandwiches.

My mom, is kind of an odd situation. She gets all mournful around his birthday. And she seems to think I need to take her to the cemetery, that no one else will do. She needs to depend on other people.

So did I, that is until they sent me the new one.

Which makes me wonder why did they send that to me if I already had reservations? It came with a note saying thank you for your February reservation and it had literature on the DLH and the video.

You know I thought that, but I bought it using the AP discount and I was logged in on my AP when I made the reservations online. I was wondering if it is just an automatic thing sent by the computer. Who knows? But I love it!!

I am down to almost two weeks. I am really getting excited for this trip. I finally told my mom I am going I just haven't told her that I am going over my dad's birthday. She is apt to freak over it, which is irrational. He has been dead over 10 years.

I have the kids and Scotty sorted. He is taking vacation that week, so that he can do the mommy things. It should be a lot of fun. And I am so hoping that they learn to appreciate me more.

Hi Carla!! I hope mommyhood is treating you well.

Oh he appreciates me. The kids on the other hand take me totally for granted. I told them they needed to practice getting up on their own. Have they done it yet? No and they have two weeks to get it together.

There is no shortage of people who would take my mom instead of me. Scotty at the top of the list, it is that she is just as bad as my kids if not worse in the taking me for granted department. She will tell me that she needs to go places rather brusquely instead of asking me if I would mind taking her. It in a lot of ways is old age and the thought that because she is old she can get away with it, and I am getting tired of it. Sorry for venting.

No. Scotty has the van so I am kind of house bound unless I want to walk to Walmart. It is much easier now that it is literally around the corner but you know bringing the stuff home then becomes the problem.
