So yesterday I decided I needed to do something "wild and crazy" -- so now I have blue and pink hair! Seriously.

Fun!!

You go girl :thumbsup2

a little of both! I just figured this is my time to do some crazy stuff -- (working on my bucket list!)...I don't have a boss to tell me no and why not. Also, with Halloween it's a fun time to do it!

I was just going to go a red-head...but that seemed like chickening out...if you're going to dye your hair, go for something fun!

Next time, I need to bleach my hair longer to get the colors to really pop!

Perfect time to have fun for sure

Like what Carla said, try Hot Topic Colors next time. I am sure they are wild :goodvibes

Awesome :) You could have gotten some dye from Hot Topic. Now that is some SERIOUS dye when you want to do funky colors. The red is RED and the blue is like an electric blue. I want to dye my hair black but I can't since I have psoriasis on my scalp. :(

Marsha, you are fun! LOL I'd totally try the hot topic colors next time too :goodvibes

Actually what I used is the same as Hot Topics...just another brand -- Splat! Rebellious Colors.

I could have done this, but thought that might be a bit extreme!

The biggest difference is that you have to bleach your hair first until it is all pale blond, then apply the color. Also, if you really want the extreme color, then you need to do two boxes.

I bleached my hair for 30 minutes b/c I wasn't sure how quickly it would take...if I did it longer, the color would be stronger.

These are the looks I was going for:

I only found them at Walgreens but it might be the same as Hot Topic -- here is the box:

I will also say it's much brighter in person...my cell phone camera didn't have the colors pop as much.

Ok, who's next?!?:rotfl2:

Me!!! Kacy is going to do it for me!!! I am going for the tips too. This is my retaliation for Scotty doing his mustache as a handle bar mustache. Yuck!!!

Actually it's a good excuse. I have wanted to do it for a long time.

I am spraying my hair pink for halloween party, but that is as far as I can go

YAY!!! Definitely show us your pics!! And it's much better to have someone do it for you. Mine is uneven in the back b/c I couldn't see what I was doing!

Also, have baby wipes with you so if any gets on your skin, you can get it off right away. Another trick is to apply petroleum jelly to your ears, forehead, chin, neck -- any place where the dye may accidentally get on your skin when you like, um, I don't know, turn your head?? (yes, that one is from personal experience!!)

yeah, I agree a handlebar mustache is kind of yucky ... but remember, it could always be worse -- like not shaving at all and growing a grizzly mountain beard or not showering!:scared1:

Good for you! Show us pics!!

I got Rachel some spray in hair color, too. Will send her to school with it for Halloween! (but knowing our conservative school, she might get sent home!:scared1:)

will do. Have steve take a picture

You should do that for sure. If they send her home, you and the girls have a fun day at home.

That schools needs to loosen up a little :thumbsup2

First we lost the dryer, then the washer and now I need a plumber!:scared1: I swear if it is plumbing related I am not having any luck.

Perfect timing I was just coming on. Te plumber just left, and we have hot water. Best part it was $82 total!! But he did tell me to prepare for the hot water heater to need to be replaced in the next couple of months.

The good thing about the water heater if there is a good thing is the fact that we can always buy it on the Home Depot card. That helps too.

Sorry, I went all mommy on that one.:rotfl: I hope that you were able to get a little rest. You could have kept texting me lastnight. I am usually awake for a while.
I think the mommy comes out in all of us sometimes!! ;) I love the fact you care! I didn't go to sleep till 6a.m.!!! I thought you might have went to sleep so I didn't text anymore! I've had a good 2 days despite they were spent at a funeral home. My other cousin said God did it cause he knew I wanted to go and it meant so much to them all that I made the trip. Considering Sunny and I had the same cancer they know all too well how chemo makes a person feel! The neat thing is I met family I never knew. sunny was adopted by my Aunt but she was my Aunts niece so birthwise and adoption wise she's still my cousin. My Uncle her birth dad died before I was born but evidently he was a little wild and so was her birth mom and I met blood kinfolks I didn't know i had. They did some crazy things for back then1! LOL I loved hearing their stories! Remember Sunny was in her 60's so her parents lived in a different time than now! I met one cousin my age who only lives an hour away from me and we have some of the same features!!! It's unreal! There are very few Tylers left so it was neat to meet another one!

So yesterday I decided I needed to do something "wild and crazy" -- so now I have blue and pink hair! Seriously.

I am so very sorry to hear of the family's loss :hug::hug: That is horrible. And poor Braeton! I know this is hard on all of you. I'm glad he was better after he got some sleep but I'm sure that was very hard on you emotionally. I'm sorry I haven't been around. I pray that you are feeling better soon!

Thank you! I am!

I Want some pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so glad you had a good couple of days LeeLee, minus the fact you were at a funeral

But still, that is so cool you got to meet family you didnt know you had

Yeah, I did go to sleep but not for over an hour after we stopped texting. I am here for you.

I love meeting relatives and hearing stories. Unfortunately most of my relatives are out of California so we don't see each other very often. The last time I saw my cousin Caroline was when she came from Iowa to see me in the hospital in 2007. Why is it that sometimes it takes a tragedy to see our loved ones? That makes no sense.

I am glad you have had a couple of good days.

I might suggest a home warranty through AHS.

http://www.ahs.com/homeowners/

Ours has definitely paid for itself. We have gotten our hot water heater repaired in the past, it cost us $60. We've had our a/c repaired in past years, and finally this summer we needed a new one. For a 2.5 ton A/C, we paid something like $100 -- such an insignificant amount (compared to brand new a/c costs) that I can't even remember exactly. LOL

We are thinking (hoping) that a new hot water heater is going to be in our near future, too. Ours takes forever to get hot water up to the front of the house (kitchen, laundry room)

Leah, I'm so glad that you got to reminisce and meet and visit with people. I had that same feeling when I went to my grandpa's funeral a few weeks ago.

oh, FYI we pay $44 a month for our home warranty through AHS. We've had it ever since we bought our house, and each time that we've had a serviceman come out for something, it costs us about $60. I forgot to mention we even had our microwave fixed (would have been expensive to buy a new one because it's one that is mounted above the stove with the fan and lights on it).

I feel it's worth it, especially when something big needs to be replaced, like with our A/C.
