I have one in college and one ready to start next year. I am getting old.:rotfl:

What?!? Ok, somehow I missed the child in college. Which college? I thought everyone was in high school.

I plan on taking plenty of pics and will tell you all about it when I get home

wow..that stinks about not doing halloween. Is it a catholic school?

Yes, we have seen so much in the past few years

Can't wait to see what the future brings for all of us

Never :thumbsup2

Nope, not a catholic school. Just a public school. But we can't do snacks for birthday parties....are only limited to 3 parties per year. No parents allowed in the school for drop-off, even at Kindergarten. You must drop your kid off at the door.

They have some odd rules...

So after all the % fees that the Consignment Organizers take, I made $198 and 6 articles of clothing were lost. Only about 1/2 my stuff sold but I'm just pleased to have it out of the house.

This sale was not well organized and in fact someone stole a bunch of stuff through the unmanned back door.:scared1:

I just signed up for another sale this Saturday and found more things to sell that were just sitting in our basement. Hoping to make another $200.

We will put all that money toward our January trip to purchase tickets for Legoland, food there and let the girls buy something too. If anything is leftover, then I'll buy something for myself at WDW!!

Oh, forgot to tell you that Jerry accepted a job offer!!

He got laid off (official end date will be this Friday) and I was beginning to freak a little since I am not working ... but decided to put my trust in God b/c I know he has everything under control!

Well, on Friday he got a verbal job offer for just a bit less than what he is now making. We talked about it and he likes the new job and company so decided to go for it. We can find little ways to make up the difference like cooking more meals at home and less "extras".

On Saturday, the written offer came in and it was for just a bit MORE than what he is now making!!

How do you like God's miracles!!!

He provides ... and then he provides even more!!:woohoo:

Ok, looks like I'm having a very pleasant conversation with myself! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: so I'm going down to watch Terra Nova.

Yes, Kacy is officially a student at our local college. Solano Community College. She is majoring in Cosmetology. It is the perfect thing for her, she loves doing hair and make up. I am thrilled, how often does a person get to do something they love?

Kody on the other hand will be going to Solano for two years and get her basic education. She would like to go into physical therapy because she wants to help people to recover from strokes like I had to. She feels that it is her way of repaying God for letting me live by helping people.

Didn't it sound that way?:rotfl:

That's terrible that people were able to walk out with peoples things like that. They should have better organized than that. Good luck at the new one.

congrats to Jerry!! This is wonderful!!! Can you rub off some of that magic on me, pretty please???

Thanks for the update! Somehow I missed Kacy and Kody in college. And yes, doing what they love is the best! When I went to college, I just went b/c it was the thing to do. I didn't really know what I wanted to do all throughout college and even after I graduated. I enjoyed my internship in Washington, DC and that's what led me down to this area.

I think I found what I want to do (for now) = Mom!!

Yeah, the consignment organizer was brand new to running a sale, so lessons learned (however, I would have thought that only having one exit and one entrance would be common sense)

congrats to Jerry!! This is wonderful!!! Can you rub off some of that magic on me, pretty please???

Oh, are you looking for a new job? I missed that! Here's to hoping you find a better one soon!:wizard:

Kody is so sweet

I know. It gives me hope.

You know when our kids were in grade school it depended on who the principal was on whether they could wear costumes or not. One principal wouldn't let them wear anyone but the kindergartners wear them. The next one loved Halloween and then everyone could wear them.:confused3

Our ES goes to 5th grade.

Yeah, check that code. Someone said it was working yesterday (on the Budget thread) and it's supposed to work to purchase through Dec and the tickets are good through May 2012.

So odd...I mean I understand if all schools are going to do that (or not) but to have one person decide at their whim ... sheesh!

I think that rules like this should be district wide. There are a lot of things in this school district that I just don't get.

for sure :goodvibes

That is really weird. Should just be a district wide rule, not depending who in charge

Oh okay. well, guess she will just have to dress up when she gets home :goodvibes

I checked it and it works still. Hoping they have will call, so I can pick them up there. Won't be able to purchase them til end of October and no way could they be mailed that fast. Leaving on the 8th.

Thanks:goodvibes

Maybe they do their tickets like Six Flag and Disney and you can print from your computer.

yeah, for Kindy, our school did not let us have a snack but the school only a mile away did.

I think Michelle is right, you'll just be able to print the tickets on your computer.

I want to wait to see what you think of it, before buying my tickets. I just asked some people on DIS (now their experience is for Cali) and it's not getting good reviews -- only carnival type rides, not much for kids 7+, no/little family rides for all to enjoy together and run down.

At least the FL one won't be 'run down' since it's brand new.

I need to go on-line and really see what rides we would do and height requirements, if any.

I still think we will go since kids are free and it sounds like it's now or never, as the girls get older and won't be able to enjoy it, esp Rachel.

I think the thing with Legoland and looking "run down" in Socal is that it like many other parks just isn't Disney. I feel that way every time I visit a Six Flags.
