This Is Stupid

I don't think it is stupid. I think it would be stupid to just kill him instead of putting him somethere he can live.

I didn't say anywhere in my original post that I thought he should be killed. What I said was: I thought it was stupid that the gator was being transported from NJ to a densely populated area like WDW to be released. I would have thought it would have been smarter to release him in a more remote area of Florida. Just my 2 cents. Now after reading so many native Floridian's posts it appears that there are already many gators living at and around WDW, so apparantly the consensus is the more the merrier. I'd prefer, however, not to interact with one of them while I'm there:)

I think you need to fear the brain-eating ameoba in the Florida lakes more rather than aligators. In the ocean, more people die of jellyfish stings than by sharks.

You are far more likely to die in a car crash on the way to the parks than anywhere in WDW.

What?!? You'd rather not interact with them? But didn't you know that WDW is a nature preserve? :rolleyes1 LOL

I couldn't help but laugh at this thread. I'm not trying to flame the OP but I just want to say that if you don't want to possibly encounter an alligator then don't travel to Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas, North and South Carolina. That's where they live. I'm not totally enthused knowing that alligators are there, but that's just the way it is.

I agree with one of the posters who said she hates snakes. I concur. I despise them and you're way more likely to see them at WDW than an alligator. Luckily I haven't seen either at WDW - ever!

I'm the OP and you forgot to mention my state New Jersey.;) :lmao:

I can see it now, when I go I am going to have nightmares about snakes and gators. :sad1: Glad we are not talking tornado's. They will have to put me on the top floor. Now I think back to last year we were at OKW and near a small body of water, gee I wonder.:confused3
