Oh my goodness, I feel so BAD at my good fortune! I have been waiting with the rest of you all and after seeing the OPs 1st post, I jumped offline and raced to the phone line without reading the rest of the posts. I guess I was lucky as I was able to book WL 6/20-30 for $139 pretax. I DO have an activated AP, but didn't volunteer that info to the CM.....would they have known that already? CM didn't say ANYTHING about it not being able to be booked, but I did ask for it specifically (EWY) and it seemed to go through fine....this was at about 7:30pm PST. Now my question is......for those of us who DID secure the rate without problem, should we be worried about our ressies with so many others being denied? I DO NOT want to tie up the phone lines asking about it with all ya'll who need to get through.....do you think that if we got it, we got it?

Good luck tomorrow, everyone......sorry you all didn't get your rate tonight!

I do not think that we need to worry.

I don't think you have anything to worry about, it is not your fault it was booked. However the CM that did book it probably needs to worry.

I think the entire company as a whole has troubles with their computer systems and codes and it causes lots and lots of problems. I remember many times trying even to use a coupon code at the stores and it wouldn't work. I'm not sure what the issues are with why they have such troubles. They give out bad information and if the turn over rate it high and they hire out for help, it's no wonder there are problems. I don't know if they still do it, but I found is amusing that WDW Dining calls were at one time answered by part of the catalog division in Kansas when call volume was high. Of course, they aren't going to know the ins and outs of dining, the bus system, etc at WDW.

You are definitely right. And recently Disney went to the SAP system which is a huge mess for anyone that has had the misfortune to have to use it. You are right about the catalog division answering over flow as does an airline call center. As you stated these people are not going to know much about some place have never even seen.

I am sure that do do, and part of me kindof feels bad. Last night when I was told today--I then asked for availibility to get my one night reserved that I needed. I was not asking for that rate last night--just to get the room booked.

DVC-member services--where we book--told me that when the AP rate hit to jump on it, then call them back to readjust and link the new number etc. . .---so to the following Disers--I do not know where this room is going back into inventory--but one night May 27--had reserved as a cash discount ressie at the VWL--can not release it until 9 this morning when they open.

SLEEP!!! what is that...finally had to take a sleeping pill and still dreamt my dreams agent could not get any nights for me...I think it will be a long day waiting to hear back! Good luck everyone!

What about general public codes? Any word on those yet? I did the math and it really doesn't seem to make sense for me to buy an AP just to get the rate - I wouldn't save too much, really.

Talked to the nicest woman at CRO late last night. After spending over 30 minutes with me on the phone, and fighting the clock against their nightly down time, she found and applied the AP discount. Also discovered that the person who helped me when I added on the Magical Express messed some stuff up. ?- Did anybody else have to make an additional deposit? I've never had to do this before, but I was so happy to save the $300, I didn't question it at the time. :bounce:

It's no fault of yours they know the policy. Enjoy your trip.

I just did the math and I would be saving just a few hundred dollars with the AP rate. I really need general codes so I don't have to buy the pass! I think we need a "desperate for general codes" thread. :sad2:
