We will be there July 18th -19th (fri/sat). Yes we KNOW it will be crowded...thats why we need some kind of plan. Remember we are 4 adults, no kids. 3 of us have been to DL many times, 1 has never been. We have ALL been to WDW many times. So....if we miss a ride...no biggie. We are staying at GCH and will have a Sat MM.
but these are the rides we want to go on.....and I want to have somewhat a plan.
Our first day is Friday....in line at SECURITY tables at 7:30.we should line up at security tables from what I read here, right?

Off to Peter Pan first (this is a FAVORITE), Mr Toad, Pinocchio, Snow White, Alice, go get FP for Space Mtn, ride Matterhorn (hope for smallish wait), then go over to Adventureland - get FP for Indy, ride Pirates and HM, then FP for Big Thunder. we love FL want to hit these rides

then lunch at Blue Bayou, then off to ride stuff that is in A/C with not tooo long waits. When should we throw in Pooh? any suggestion for a show or somethign here? We are thinking Tiki Room

then back to hotel for swimming/nap.

Come back later and use FP's collected earlier and eat dinner. Casually stroll thru the masses:crowded: ;)

Then Saturday morning (MM)...we will be at security at 6:30am:faint: and off to FL again to ride favs again, ride Buzz, SM, and hang out.

Can we collect FP's during MM??? if not we will start collecting at 8am for rides later that day.

We are not gung ho about Nemo...but if opportunity arrises we will take it. but we are not planning a morning around riding it.:)

I think you plan sounds pretty good.
I myself am not sure if you can collect FPs during MM.
Are you only going to DL and not DCA? If going to DCA, I would recommend the Aladdin show, if playing that day, best show ever!! Otherwise, maybe do lunch on Sat at The Golden Horseshoe and watch the show at the sametime.
Do you guys plan to watch F! or see the fireworks?? At least for the person who has never been to DL, I hear the DL F! show is better.
Other than that, I would stick with your plan, and definately squeeze in Tiki room regardless, with a Dole whip of course!!

Sounds really good!

We were there last weekend -- hardly ever a line for Pooh or Tiki room -- we did these during the busier parts of the day. Also, Pirates is good during the busy part of the day since it holds so many people.

Indy had HUGE lines -- your plan to get a FP is a good one!

We run to FL first, too. We did FL then went to Nemo since it was only a 15min wait and we'd never been on it before.

The FP machines were not working during MM.

If you have CA passes, you can check out Aladdin, Soarin', and the Animation Building stuff, which is really fun and air-conditioned.

We love the GCH -- hope you like it!

FP Machines are not turned on during MM, although sometimes they do come on a few minutes prior to official park opening (I experienced this last week on Space Mtn. during MM).

Are you planning on riding Splash? I would ride Pooh around that same time since it's directly across, although you could hit it after HM. There is hardly ever a wait for this ride.

Billy Hill & the Hillbillies is a great show to catch in FL. They show it several tiimes a day with the first show at 11:15 am. The new Indy show is drawing lots of crowds in Adventureland, so you may consider catching that as well.

I don't see any DCA time scheduled? Are you wanting to ride the new Toy Story Midway Mania ride in DCA? If so, I would wander over there after your Saturday MM. Try to be in line for DCA at 9:30 am and at the front of rope drop at 10:00 am to get over to the pier first. Aladdin is an awesome show and the Animation Studio is air conditioned and has some really fun things to do.

I totally forgot to mention DCA...we are saving that for Sat after MM as crowds start to peak at DL.
We will try for Toy Story, but....don't care if we miss it. We will ride it at WDW next year.
We DO want to ride Monsters, see Aladdin, and Animation tour, and maybe Soarin (again can ride at WDW).

Thanks for the tips/help guys !!!!!;)

oh....in answer to some of the other questions...

no....we are not going to watch Fantasmic, rather ride rides. We will try to catch MSEP at DCA....and fireworks are easy to watch from anywhere.

Tikiroom and dolewhips...::yes::

any other tips are very appreciated !!

Even though fireworks are easy to watch from anywhere, RDCT is a show that really requires you to see it from either Main Street or in front of the castle to get the full effect of the show/story. It's more than just fireworks, it's the history of DL in fireworks, music, projections, lasers, etc. I would REALLY recommend making sure you try to catch it from Main Street or in the hub. I'd also recommend this for Friday night.

For a morning in Fantasyland, I would ride Matterhorn, Peter Pan, and Alice before anything else. Snow White and Pinocchio especially really never have long lines. So this is how I would do it:

-Peter Pan
-Matterhorn
-Alice
-Get Space FP
-Ride the rest of FL rides
And go from there.

what about Buzz...ok to wait for that after Space FP??

Definitely. The first 45 minutes of park operation Buzz's line is sooooo short because there's not FP people cutting ahead. And even around the first 2 hours the line won't be more than 20 minutes.

It looks like you've planned to hit FL and hit 4 rides before picking up a FP? Did you mean to say you'd grab your Space FP on the way in to FL? Because otherwise you've lost an opportunity to get a FP right off the bat, with a 35-45 minute return time. If you can send a runner to peel off and grab that first FP on your way to FL, you're ahead by one FP...since Friday isn't an EE and the FP machines will be up and running at park opening.

About security tables, yep, line up there if they're not already open by the time you get there. :)

Sounds like you'll have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Avalon brings up a good point. On Friday, you might want send one runner over to SM FP when you enter... while the other 3 ride PP. Best to start the FP collecting as early as possible.

Then he/she can meet the other 3 at the Matterhorn (or Alice).

On Sat. MM (based on your ages), I'd do:

- PP
- Matterhorn (both sides)
- Alice
- maybe teacups
- Toadie
- Pinocchio
- maybe Carousel
- Buzz (as many times as you want until MM is over)
- FP at SM or Indy

(note - As DLR 29 mentioned...Snow White & Pinocchio can be read at other times of day with not much of a line).

DangerMouse, i never knew FPs might be available (at SM) a few minutes before :00 on MM days. Good to know.

& did you guys ride the new Toy Story attraction? What did you think?

::yes::

It's the best new attraction Disney has put out in years. It's so much better than Buzz. The car movement is fast and fun and I found myself laughing and hooting and hollering through the whole ride. The lightning round at the end was so intense it gave me a headache! :headache: but it still didn't stop me from wanting to go again. This is going to be the new big thing at the parks with long lines for quite some time, because the repeatability is so great.

I give it :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

well..yeah that was the plan. We are not that organized or worried to get FP for SM FIRST thing. We all love PP and want to ride it first together. We know the wait is always long.
I think we will ride PP, Toad, Alice, Matterhorn, then FP for SM, ride Buzz a couple times, back thru FL over to get FP for Indy.

We are all adults but my Sis is preggie, so her/I will sit out the fast rides together. So its just not all that to ride the coasters...we want to ride the fun FL rides that WDW doesn't have. ;)
Thanks for the help, its GREAT !!
