**This is now the OFFICIAL 24 SEASON 6 Thread**

Ah, dysfunctional families we know and love. :rotfl: I was really hoping 24 would have Donald Sutherland play the part of Jack's father. My husband wondered if the kid belonged to Jack and not his brother?

There are numerous people who are bugging me this year. Like others here, Wayne is annoying. I am also getting tired of Karen Hayes and she was one of my favorites last year. There are others too but I think the main problem is there's not enough strong characters to hold my attention. Give me a Mrs. Logan or the Salazars. The group we're watching now is just too wimpy.

Wayne Palmer doesn't bug me as much as his dopey sister!! Yikes, she's almost as annoying as Jack's daughter was in the early years. I was hoping Sutherland would play Jack's dad too, it would have been cool.

I'm with your husband, I think the kid is Jack's. Too many meaningful looks passing during that little introduction sequence.

I can't decide if Peter McNicol's character is a weasel or not...

I also thought the boy resembled Kim so maybe they're half siblings....

That is what I was thinking...they just kinda focused on the two of them meeting for the first time for a couple of seconds. And this tall blonde blue eyed boy born to his brother and dark haired wife who by the sounds of things had a "thing" for Jack.

I keep telling DH that Rick Schroder is supposed to appear and hopefully that will be a likeable character. I did like James Heller, they could have moved him up the political ladder over Wayne Palmer.

Speaking of the dark haired wife - who is she??? I know I remember watching her on a soap opera about 15 years ago....I can not for the life of me remember her name on the soap! LOL!

Thats what I was thinking too. Didn't she play Lois on General Hospital? She was from the Bronx and had a child with one of the Quartermain brothers (the singer). She has such a distictive look with that dark hair and those blue eyes. If this is her, she only played Lois for a short period of time. I thought she had great talent then, so I expect great things from her this time.

YES!! That's who it was! She was married to Ned.

What ever happened to Audrey? Did they ever say?

She was a hostage in a bank robbery on a different network. :rotfl:

I've heard she may be coming back. :sad2: Maybe one of the "visitors" will take her out of this program.

Do you believe that that is Jack's brother!!! What a twist. That's what keeps us on the edge of our seats.

They don't even look alike :rotfl:

So the evil Dr. Romano is the even more evil Graham Bauer. That was quite a shocker.

Rena Sofer is the actress' real name. In fact, she was married to Wally Kurth (Ned) in real life. They're now divorced but had a child together.

She was also on Melrose Place as that whacky Eve Cleary that was in prision for the murder of the guy that attacked Amanda. She showed up as the cheerleader in the final episode at Peter and Amanda's funeral.:rotfl:

She was also Nathan Petrelli's wife on "Heroes".

I can't decide if Peter McNicol's character is a weasel or not...

DH and I were trying to figure that out too. I can't decide if he's a bad guy or a guy that's trying to do what he honestly thinks is best for the country. There are a lot of people who believe that security is worth all costs, including giving up our rights.

As for the kid, I agree - I think he's Jack's son, which is why his brother gets jealous just thinking about his wife and Jack. Also would explain why he was so willing to give him up to the Chinese...

Wayne Palmer was one of the Principals on Buffy the Vampire Slayer...toward the end of the series, when it was going to hell in a handbasket. He wasn't as lousy in that role.

My honest bet is that we're going to find out he's working for the "Jack's brother" <> "President Logan" 'secret group' - if I remember correctly, wasn't it that last season when he was working CTU alongside Karen Hayes that he 'deleted the tape' for Logan?

I feel so horrible typing this, but I am just "eh" so far about this season. Last night seemed to focus so much on the Walid storyline and the Karen Hayes/whatever his name is storyline and hardly any JACK   . I am also just having a hard time with this brother thing. I just can not believe that no one leaked it out that it was Jack Bauer's brother involved in all of this.

Thank you. I just came here to type the same thing. The characters this year are weak, weak, weak!!!

I also noticed that Jack got limited air time. Maybe he's doing a Johnny Carson thing where he's now getting more time off because he's such a big star. We need an exciting story line and right now there isn't one.

I also don't think it helps 24 that the lead in show is Prison Break which is now as good as it's ever been. 24 is a let down after that fast paced and very excited Program. ::yes::

I have to agree with the most recent comments about the show not packing as much punch as prior seasons. Usually I'm absolutely rivoted to the TV for an hour and exhausted from the suspense afterwards with my usual comment that an hour of 24 is all I can take due to the intensity. So far, this year, I haven't felt that way. Hopefully the pace will pick up.

Word to the writers/producers/directors of 24......"You do NOT want to do this" :furious: ;)
