**This is now the OFFICIAL 24 SEASON 6 Thread**

OMG!!! My husband and I were wired at the end of last night's episodes (and tonight looks even better). Took awhile to get to sleep.

About the neck thing, that now takes first place on the list of incredible things Jack will do to save his country. Previously it was when he killed a guy (an FBI informant I believe) in the CTU conference room and when his boss walked in and saw what he did, Jack said "I'm going to need a hacksaw." Wasn't graphic but did the trick for me. :thumbsup2

As for the terrorist neighbor, at first I thought it was Kate's (from Season 2, I think) sister's boyfriend (who you were led to believe was a terrorist at first but it turned out to be Kate's sister who was the terrorist). Not Bayrus...I wish they had tied up that loose end. I liked Bayrus.

As to Rick Schroeder (who's a hottie too ;) ), has anyone explained to him the average life expectancy of a CTU field agent (if that's what his character is)? :sad2: Not very long, I'm afraid.

Bring on more!

When the Chineese prison let Jack go, did you see the quick look he gave them, I hope he also comes back and gets them also :rotfl:

Evidently there will be a DVD included with the set that will come out for this season that will be on the China thing. It will explain what happened to Jack while "visiting" China. Now, that is a great marketing idea. I personally would get it, watch it and resell it just to see.

Do you mean the "prequel" that came with Season 5 that just went on sale before the holdiays? Because that one had about a 10 minute thing about Jack in custody of the Chinese. I think it was set about 7 months after season 5. It didn't give you much other than to see that Jack gets tortured and then is tricked into revealing a Chinese double agent. This may play into Jack's psychological/emotional status that was hinted at last night.

Poor Jack, if he needs a rest, I have just the place for him. ;)

Oh yeah, if I were those Chinese agents, I'd be afraid, be very, very afraid!

When Jack killed the head of CTU a couple of seasons ago, that was my epiphany on what Jack would do for his country. :(

As for the terrorist neighbor, at first I thought it was Kate's (from Season 2, I think) sister's boyfriend (who you were led to believe was a terrorist at first but it turned out to be Kate's sister who was the terrorist).

The boyfriend was killed by Kate's sister if I'm remembering correctly.

Can't wait for tonight!!!

What a great beginning to a new season of 24. The neck biting was very gross and I had to turn away while he was doing it. I agree what Jack won't do for our country.

On the fence about Wayne Palmer. He seems indecisive about things, yet when he was his brothers assistant he always was pushing him to make decisions. I never remember a sister in the past but I like her. I don't like Tom and feel like he is a bad guy and is power hungry.

Like Chloe's new hairstyle. Will be interesting to see if her ex is a good or bad guy.

Anxious for tonight.

Nancy

Virgo10,

You are absolutely correct. I hang my head in shame. As my punishment, I will now go and watch all five seasons of 24 to refresh my memory.

Holy cow, how could I forget what he did to Ryan Chapelle! :confused3 That was a great moment in 24 history. I actually felt bad for Ryan (even though he was such a jerk). I need coffee, then I can think straight again.

I am not really sure cuz it was just a quick blurb that I had heard this morning. I may need to Google.

After some research, it looks like it is in the Season 5 DVD set and it is a short blurb. Not as big a deal that I thought it would be. Carry on.

It was a really good scene. Jack is all meek and frightened throughout. Often, extra scenes on DVDs aren't very good, but the 24 ones are. I give them a lot of credit on that count. Plus, since they aren't on TV, Jack can say the F word, and have steamy love scenes, etc. If you have Netflix, they are worth a watch. :)

Agree with the poster above who said that last night's throat biting now surpasses the shooting of the child molestor/murderer followed by the "I'm going to need a hacksaw" line. That was my favorite until now, too.

I hope Aaron Pierce comes back. Really like him.

And I think the blond chick (Kate's sister, forget her name) killed her fiance in that season. Am I wrong?

There were a few things that bothered me about last nights show.

1 What happened to Logan? I want to know all the details on what happened to that slime as well as the clown who was controlling him (the actor used to play a doc on ER)

2 Palmer is a whimp and the actor is mediocre at best I hope he gets written out and killed off quick!

3 It is obvious that Jack is tired of hurting people to get answers. He has obviously lost his edge and that is disappointing (refering to the scene when Assad stabs the guy's knee) I know it is part of the story and more will be revealed but I was disappointed when I saw that. I hope Jack hasnt become "kinder and gentler"

I am hopeful that this season will be great and for the most part I enjoyed the first 2 hours but these issues are a problem for me.

I had read months ago that the writers wanted to bring more emotions to Jack's character this season. We can only trust what they are wanting to do. This show totally rocks!

Regarding the teenage terrorist (Ahmed/Ahmad?) Was it just me, or did he look more like 35 than 16/17? Horrible casting!

I thought so, too! When he came out of the house at first (after we heard about him helping the other boy with his homework), I thought he was the uncle or something :confused3. Then after I realized it was Ahmad, I was trying to figure out who this grown man "Ahmad" was that was helping the other teenager with homework :confused3.

It threw me every time they showed him, I had to remind myself he was supposed to be a teen.

It was good last night!!!

My DH and I are excited about tonight's show too!!

Woo-hoo......

Now, to get Lost and Prison Break back......I'll be on :cloud9: !!

Stephen King wrote a nice little article about 24 (no spoilers). He even mentioned Disney World! (didn't talk about WDW, of course, it is about Jack, not Mickey.)

That would be an awesome episode...Jack running through and hiding in the MK! Yeah, I'm a dork.

I'm sure I read where Logan and his wife will be on this season. Agreed about Palmer, doubt they'll kill him off though. As far as the "kinder and gentler" Jack, I'm pretty sure he'll "toughen" up. According to a quote from the TV Guide article a couple of weeks ago: "And on the sixth day, Jack Bauer kicked ***"
