Now that the 100 Years of Magic celebration is over, the new park icon is being modified with something new to take the place of the former 100 Years logo.

I saw a few shots this week. Still only exterior but WAY COOL.

The new sculpture is made up of gold ribbons with silver stars and replaces the 100 Years of Magic logo under the Sorcerer's Hat Icon.

A merchandise location remains underneath the hat.

So, the sorceror's hat is still there? They just decorated underneath? Is that correct? I won't be back until Oct. to see. I have a lonnnnngggg wait.

We missed it by just one week. We were at MGM last Wednesday and the enclosure was still up. We could see the gold ribbon and the silver stars as they went up inside the hat and we could see the crane working inside, but that was it. I figured there was probably more work to be done. Can't wait 'til November to see the results.
