This is no longer a vacation. It's a quest for fun. An Oct 2013 PTR! Updated 10/5!

Good morning Disboards! We are officially in the TWENTIES!!! I can't freaking believe it, our trip is getting so close! Last Friday we got our first piece of Mickey mail (vouchers for our flight down), Saturday my mom got hers (luggage tags & vouchers) and today our last piece should come for our AKL check in. Also coming today: our first set of MAGICBANDS!!

Of course I will get home early today and will have to wait and stare at the box until Jess gets home to open them with me. We should also be getting a set tomorrow and the last set sometime next week. That's a lot of Magicbands! Once all our deliveries come, I'll finish up our planning binder (AKA the Mickey Manual). I also have two shirts to finish up (then I'll post pictures - I love them!) and START PACKING! But in the meantime...here's our Wednesday, Oct 30th plans!

This is the last day for the guys & my mom! The guys will have a super early wakeup this morning since they're playing a round of golf at Magnolia. They're both reallllllly into golf, so this is the one thing they requested to do! I think they're tee time is at 7:40 - Disney provides a free taxi ride to and from so that's nice and convenient. They have to be back at the hotel by 1 for their estimated DME pickup, and then they'll be heading home around 4!

I just hope someone takes a picture of this for me...

Anyway, while the guys are golfing, we have a special morning too! We'll check out of the hotel by around 8:00am and head to the Magic Kingdom for Keys to the Kingdom!!!!! I am SO incredibly excited to do this tour. I've heard such amazing things about it. This is the reason my mom stayed the extra night - she wanted to check it out too. Our tour starts at 9:30 and I'm estimating that it'll be done around 2:30. I haven't read too many details because I don't want the secrets to be spoiled!

Once the tour is done, the three of us will probably head back to Animal Kingdom Lodge!!! My favorite place in Disney :goodvibes My mom will probably come with us because her DME pickup isn't until 4:30 and I want her to check the place out! Some of our hotel pics from last time...

Jess and I will be hanging around the hotel for a few hours, but Mom will probably catch a cab back to the Beach Club around 3:45 so she has plenty of time to make her DME!

In the evening, Jess and I are going to Hoop de Doo again!! We have seats in the 2nd level for the 6:30pm show so we'll probably head out around 5:00. Last time we did this (Dec 2011), Jess was chosen as the can-can girl! This time we are hoping to lay low and just enjoy the show and the grub...

Including unlimited free sangria!

I'm not sure why I have no pictures of the fried chicken & cornbread, but YUM can't wait for all that yummy food again!

The show will probably be over by 8 and we'll catch a bus right back to the hotel - we have a morning EMH the next day and we'll want to catch up on our rest!

Yay for all the Mickey mail! It's so exciting right before a trip to get mail and packages for it!

Ah the KTTK tour sounds fantastic! I can't wait to hear about it afterwards!

Yay for AKL! We had dinner at Boma on our trip and seriously, I'm in love. I honestly need to stay there ASAP.

Mickey mail always makes the trip seem so real and close! I've only ever stayed two nights in a deluxe, but AKL is my favorite hotel ever! That may change after we stay at Beach Club, but we'll see!

Happy Saturday Disboards :cool1: We have officially less than 3 weeks until our trip, AHHHHH! All our tshirts are made (pictures to come, hopefully later today!), all of the Magicbands are delivered (three sets, agh!) and the packing has commenced. My goal for today is to get all of my Mickey/Disney apparel washed and folded into the guest room. I'll let myself start actually packing next weekend, when we have less than 2 weeks to go. :yay:

Before I post day 6 plans, we have another exciting updated - I already have my next trip booked! I can't remember if I mentioned it before or not, but Jess & I have a bi-coastal trip planned for the first week of May. It sounds kind of crazy, but we are staying Fri-Tues at WDW to participate in the Expedition Everest 5k, and then on Tuesday flying to Cali to spend 3 days in Disneyland & a day in LA. The hotels are booked for the WDW portion and I get to book DVC (holla, beautiful Grand Californian!) on Monday for California. I won't do a PTR for this trip even though it's already been super fun to plan all the logistics, just because when I get back I'll have a new TR - I'll incorporate PTR posts into my new TR. I also have TWO more 2014 trips planned - insanity!

But, let's focus our attention back on the trip that hasn't even happened yet :rotfl2: Day 6! Which is Thursday, October 31st, aka HALLOWEEN! I will admit I've never been a fan of Halloween (to put it lightly), but I am SUPER EXCITED to be in Disney on Halloween and to attend a very special event on that day :yay:

But to start the day, we'll be up super early to head to morning EMH at MK! This is hands down my favorite part of any trip. It will also be exciting because the guys and my mom will have gone, making it "our" trip to do all the stuff that they didn't want to do before. We'll head out the door by 7am to make sure we can get all the way to MK for the welcome show, which we love!

We'll be seeing this beautiful site early in the morning! I just LOVE the fall decorations at MK.

Hopefully there will be no crane!

We have some Fastpasses scheduled throughout the day, but our first stop is Fantasyland! We knew the guys wouldn't be interested in too much here, so we'll start of with Winnie the Pooh. This ride is cute but not a must-do for me each trip - I don't think I have any pictures from last time! We'll then probably check out Under the Sea again, and with any leftover time in Fantasyland in the morning, we'll probably just explore the new Tangled/Gaston's Tavern area since we'll be kind of rushed on our first day in MK! We do have 9:00am FP+ reservations for Enchanted Tales with Belle. The technology looks so neat and I'm excited to try it out!

By the time we're done with that, we're thinking it'll be about 9:45. We plan to probably hit it's a small world again before we use our next FP+!

It never gets old for me!

We then have another FP+ reservation for our favorite, Splash!

In my opinion, you can never have too many rides on Splash. We then plan to finish up in this area - Jess is interested in Country Bears...

I am not, so I'm hoping I can convince her to skip it :goodvibes I would like to do Pirates again if we didn't do it at KTTW the day before. We'll also probably check out the Tiki Room, give it one last chance before we write it off completely!

We have another FP+ reservation at 11:00am for Space! While we're over there, we'll probably do either COP and/or Buzz and of course another spin on the PeopleMover before lunch!

For lunch, we're planning on hitting up a new spot that we liked last time - Pinocchio's Village Haus! I never hear very much about this place, but we really liked it! The flatbreads are yummy & the view is neat too.

Later today I'll try to post some pictures of our t-shirts. They're quite awesome this year!

Wow a bicoastal trip is beyond exciting! I am so jealous! Have you guys ever been to Disneyland before?

Yay for Halloween in Disney! I've heard that the crane came down on 9/30 but I don't know if that means for good? :confused3

I am SO terrible at updating this PTR! We are leaving in EIGHT days, so I better get a move on!! Our shirts are packed up so you won't get to see those until we get back, but I really want to finish our daily plans before next Friday!

Where we last left off....we are planning on having lunch at Pinoccio's Village Haus, then heading out of the MK and back to AKL to relax at the pool for a few hours. Then we have to get ourselves ready for our very first MNSSHP!!! We might be crazy for going to MNSHPP on Halloween (it's already sold out), but I'm really, REALLY excited!

All of these pics from this update aren't mine since we've never been before...I'm just pulling them from Google Images. We're planning on arriving before 6:00 and jumping in line for the 7 Dwarves!! One of us will wait in line and the other person will go pick up some dinner at Casey's - another new place for us! I am *dying* to try the corn dog bites, yum!

MagicKingdom1-063.JPG

Whoever goes to pick up food will return to the line and we'll eat it while we wait. I tried not to make too many concrete plans for MNSHHP, but I know we want to meet Gaston & Lotso, the cutest villain ever!

Lotso.jpg

We would also like to trick or treat a little before we find a seat for the first parade! Then we'll watch Wishes, meet some more characters and do some more trick or treating! The only ride we'd like to do is the Haunted Mansion, but if the line's too long we'll skip it.

I'm going to try to update with the last two days over the weekend, thanks for reading! :goodvibes

MNSSHP sounds like a perfect way to spend the actual day of Halloween! Even though it's sold out, I'm sure you'll still be able to accomplish everything you want to do and have a magical time!
