This is no longer a vacation. It's a quest for fun. An Oct 2013 PTR! Updated 10/5!

The shirts for the costumes look great! I love it!

Your plans for the day sound awesome too! We like to go to the safari first in the morning and last time we actually saw some lions awake so maybe you'll get lucky too!

Those F&W snacks sound delicious-- I'm jealous!

Yay for the dessert party. :cheer2: I can't wait to hear what you guys think of it. I kinda want to do it but we're not huge dessert people so I can't decide! Maybe someday!

Thanks, we think they turned out good! We usually go to Everest first so it'll be good to change it up this time. We loved the dessert party last time, but I could eat my weight in chocolate so I may be biased...:rolleyes1

Wow, we've had so many changes to our trip in the past week! It's definitely keeping me busy and making the time go quicker :thumbsup2

First - we were selected for Fastpass+, MagicBand testing and BOG lunch FPs! As I mentioned before, I was really really hoping we would get to test it (again - we did it in September before the bands rolled out), and both resorts we're staying at are participating! So on Thursday night, I logged onto MDE and was able to customize our MagicBands for the AKL portion of our stay - I chose red and Jess chose yellow. Then I logged on yesterday morning and we were able to do them for the Beach Club portion of our stay - yay!! All three of us girls went with pink, Mike with green and Bryan got blue. We still can't choose Fastpasses yet but we are still 62 days away from check-in, so I am thinking they will be available on Tuesday :yay:

Once we get to choose, I will post the adjusted plans for the first two three days and go forward with the plans from now on with our FP+ selections.

I was also able to logon to the BOG FP+ lunch website and I was able to get in for the second half of our stay (when it's just Jess and I), but no available times have been posted yet (for anyone) for October. I was hoping we would get to do it for the first half of our stay, but I don't think the guys or my mom are picky about whether or not they get to eat in the Castle so we'll probably just go to Pinocchio's Village Haus or CHH instead.

But the biggest change is that we added an extra night onto our trip :cheer2::cheer2:. Yesterday afternoon, Southwest called me and told me that they delayed our flights by an hour an a half (later):mad: I was NOT happy, considering we wouldn't get to DHS until probably around 2. The guys were only having 3 full park days as it was and now we were going to cut 2 hours off the 4th half day.

I was able to call Southwest and switch our flights to Friday for no extra charge! Me, Jess, Bryan & Mike are now leaving October 25th at 7:30pm, arriving at 11:55pm. Two things I'm bummed about - we can't use luggage delivery & the flight is not direct. BUT we are getting an extra half-day in Disney so I can't complain. We were able to get 15% off a room only at AS Music for that night. We will all be crammed in one room but it'll only be for a few hours (since I'm thinking we won't be checking in until about 1am!), so it's no big deal. We were able to add an extra night for a total of only $68 per couple! So here are our revised Day 1 plans:

We'll probably try to sleep a little later since we will be getting in late, and my mom is still flying in on Saturday. She will land at 9:30 so we're expecting her to arrive at the Beach Club around 11:00am! I'm thinking we'll set an alarm for 9:00, get dressed and out the door by 9:30. We'll bring our luggage up front and check out, and have our luggage transferred over to Beach Club, then hop a bus to Epcot and hopefully arrive there by 10:00-10:30? Our plan is to walk through Epcot (unfortunately bypassing any rides...) and get breakfast at the new bakery in France, YUM! Once we grab some food, we'll walk on through the International Gateway (love that!) to the Beach Club :cool1::cool1: I'm thinking by the time we check in and all that nonsense, mom should be arriving. Yay for a relaxing morning in Disney instead of getting up at 5am to fly! Since we'll already be checked in, as soon as mom hops off the DME, we'll head over to DHS - hopefully by 11:30!!

Biggest perk - we get to cut a day off our countdown calendar :thumbsup2

I'll try to update again this week after we get to pick our FP+ - I have a whole list of the ones we want!

Now - I'm off to play Disney Infinity (if you don't have it - GO GET IT RIGHT NOW!!!)

Happy Labor Day weekend DIS friends! On Tuesday, I was able to make my FP+ selections for our entire trip! I'll go through all of them when I do the daily plans, but I've revised our Day 1-3 plans for our FP selections.

Saturday - I was able to pick FP+ for Rock n Rollercoaster, TOT, and TSM! We were planning on riding all of them anyway with regular FP except TSM), so our plans aren't changing too much.

Sunday - We picked FP+ for Splash, Space and Big Thunder. We'll start off in Frontierland, then do Adventureland, Liberty Square & Fantasyland before our lunch/break. All of our FPs are scheduled for after our break so we'll ride Splash (so we'll ride Splash twice), then Big Thunder with our FP and do Futureworld before we leave for dinner in Epcot!

Monday - We scheduled FP+ for the Safari, Everest and Kali. We'll ride Everest more than once before we hit up the Safari and save Kali for after lunch!

I'll get to the other ones as the days progress but I just wanted to share some updates!

Yay! That's pretty cool that you got to customize 2 sets of bands.

That's great that you were able to move your flights with no charge! Extra Disney days are always a plus.

How do you like Disney Infinity? I've heard great things about it but I'm not a huge video game person so I've been waiting on buying it.

:cheer2: For FP+! I keep changing ours constantly :rotfl2:

Yes I can't wait to get our magicbands!! We always fly southwest and they have awesome customer service. I LOVE Disney infinity!! I think I like it alot because its a pretty "easy" game. I get frustrated if games are too hard but this one is just plain fun!

Hello all! It's been quite a while since I've posted about our daily plans, so tonight I'm going to share our plans for day 4 - Tuesday, October 29th. This also happens to be mine and DH's 2 year anniversay :love: and the last park day for the boys!

We will get an early start as Epcot has morning EMH on Tuesday! Luckily, we don't have to grab a bus this morning since we'll just we wandering through the international gateway at about 7:45! We didn't book any FP+ for this day since we'll be using them in the afternoon. If we can pull paper FP, we'll probably have someone run over to Test Track to get us some, and then head over to...

Soarin' of course! Mom didn't ride this last time because she thought the heights would freak her out, but I think she's going to do it this time. After we ride Soarin', we'll either ride Test Track standby or use our FP, if we were able to pull one. This was under renovation last time so I can't wait to see the "reimagined" version of one of our old favorites!

Since we'll be close to the front, we'll head over to Spaceship Earth!

It will be definitely be strange coming in through the International Gateway and not seeing this beauty when we come into Epcot!

Once we're finished here, we'll head back to the the Land and ride one of my very favorite ride in Epcot - Living with the Land!!

If we're lucky we'll get to see some large fruit!

After that, we'll head from land to sea...

and hit up all our favorites in there, including The Seas with Nemo & Turtle Talk! We'll probably have some time to explore the Seas pavilion as well. After that, the last thing on our "to do" list is Figment!

Love that little guy! If we have any time before we have to head out to our next park, we'll hit up some more of our favorites!

Next up, we boat over to Hollywood Studios!

Sounds like a great morning in Epcot! And yay for your anniversary! Looks like you'll hit all the highlights of Future World! :cool1:

Soooo I absolutely suck at updating this PTR! Honestly, I've been trying not to think too much about our trip because we're at that stage where its SO close but still way too far away and I'm getting so antsy. We're now almost 5 weeks out, waiting for our magicbands and Mickey mail to ship :goodvibes Here are the rest of our plans for Tuesday, Oct 29th!

After spending the morning in Epcot, the plan is to hop on a boat over to DHS and arrive by about 12:45. We plan to catch the 1:20 Lights, Motors Action show. I haven't seen this show in a few trips so I can't find any pictures! After lunch, we have an ADR at...Sci Fi!

I'm excited to try this place out since I've never eaten here! This one is an "extra" meal as we'll have already used all of our DDP credits so Jess & I will probably split a burger or something, and I'm DEFINITELY getting a milkshake! :yay:

After lunch, we have FP+ for TSM at 3:00 and RNRC at 4:45. In between there, we'll probably hit up Muppet Vision and see the 5:30pm BBAT show, if the guys feel like it, as well as VOTLM before Fantasmic! Hopefully we can pull a paper FP for Tower of Terror. I'm also very excited because we have a FP+ for Fantasmic!! The seats look really really good and I'm really happy to not stand in line for hours.

After Fantasmic, the park closes so we'll head out around 8:00pm. The plan is to walk over to the Boardwalk and grab some pizza, and possibly hit up Jellyrolls! I've heard really good things about it but we may end up just wandering the Boardwalk and heading back to the room early, depending on how tired everyone is. The guys have an especially early wakeup call the next morning!

Sounds like a fun afternoon at DHS! We didn't do FP+ for Fantasmic but we did the dining package when we were just there and they seemed to have combined the reserved seating for the both of them. To me, the nicest part of it was having room to spread out and not dealing with people cramming on top of each other! Although, I'm not sure if that will still be the case in busier seasons/the official roll out!

Love reading about your plans! My daughter and I will be in Orlando for a college visit to UCF in late October, and we are going to take a side trip to GF for a long weekend. I was able to customize our magic bands and make FP reservations last week, and now we are going crazy waiting for the trip to get here! Can't wait to read more from you!

Welcome back!! Can't wait until you start your TR :) hopefully it's not crowded while we're there!
