Yes the pizza fries are iconic like the twisted taters. So delicious here is a picture not mine thanks google
Looks pretty good.
I did make note, we still headed out around 9:15am.
I’d call that resting… at a theme park.
Are we good or bad? you decide!
Bad. Definitely bad. I’m not fooled by those lovely smiles one little bit.
We headed to ET, of course we did.
But I do wish they could skip the last drug-induced part.
We rode the Troll rollercoaster and visited Shrek’s swamp area
Is this new? I don’t remember seeing that.
This was really good, high above a Mickey pretzel in my opinion
Meh. I love pretzels and Mickey pretzels aren’t all that great. IMHO.
But now I know to try US’s version.
bit disappointing this year. Usually the tribute store is a big production with creepy rooms to explore, this was just a small area with a few props and
HHN merchandise.

That’s a shame.
She loves Halloween.
Of course bits the best holiday… ever.
Andi returned and said it was a rough ride today, yikes

if a 25 year old complains about it, I’m glad I didn’t ride.
If you have park to park tickets riding the train is a must!
This is an awesome perk and it is why we always stay at a premier resort.
Andi… Don’t. Move. And whatever you do… don’t look up.
We headed towards Spider Man next. This ride is always a must.
Such a good ride.
I was really happy to get the new magnet, which has ET on it!
Our plan was Red Oven Pizza.
Not familiar with that one.
We ordered the Margherita pizza, fresh buffalo mozzarella, mozzarella, fresh basil, and tomato sauce.
Yum!
This evening, we planned on a visit to the “Dead Coconut Club” this is a lounge in Citywalk that changes as the seasons change. It is the Red and Green Coconut Club at Christmas time and it is also themed during the Mardi Gras Festival.

I like it!
the sorority “witches” did a dance and put a hex on a fraternity boy who thought he was all it!
The restaurant has a piano bar and you can give the singers requests. It was really fun in here and we enjoyed the singers. There was a man on one piano and across from him was a lady on another piano
Love duelling pianos.
Andi definitely had a little buzz going and she gets quite talkative haha
Good thing we weren’t driving, just walking back to the room.
Staggering… staggering back to the room.
The resort inside and out is absolutely beautiful!
From your photos… I’d have to agree!
The park access was very good. Security is right in the hotel and ticket check is next then out the doors right into Celestial Park which is the center of Epic. What a perk for staying at this hotel!
Nice.
The rooms have an IPad that controls everything from lights, curtains, TV, shower (yes, you could turn on the shower from your bed), and talking with the front desk.
Park, schmark… just stay in bed and play.
One thing that could be a little hassle is the elevators got extremely busy with a very long line at park closing time
Good to know.
Bar Helios on the rooftop but didn’t purchase anything up there. It was beautiful up there and you could watch the water/light show from up there.
Nice.
Stardust Racers, this is a big rollercoaster with two sides and it looks like you are racing the other side.
I’ve done similar at 6 Flags. Fun.
Andi did ride this 6x by herself.
Whoa! She
really liked it!
I’m a ride chicken

got my certificate and everything, haha
The other ride is more my speed, lol

it is a carousel.
It was not unlimited and unfortunately unlike a MB at Disney, Andi couldn’t use my EP on the rides I didn’t go on. The system recognizes your face in the EP line so that was a bummer since she does ride twice at Disney on the rides I don’t do, she just taps with my MB.
Well shoot.

That’s unfortunate.
The original Universal monsters portal
I think this might be my favourite too.
There are werewolves, vampires under the village, mummies and many more monsters.
Love it.

What Universal is all about.
We rode Monsters Unchained 10x over the 2 days and we could have rode more.
Holy smokes!!!
almost every single other attraction in Epic has “Epic” waits like 40-140 minutes!
(Fainting for a different reason this time.)
We had a meet and greet with Frankie and his bride!
He looks very well put together.
Before our trip, I watched How to train your dragon 1&2
Seen the first one. Guess I should watch the second one too.
There is so much detail! I loved it.
The only negative is the ride queue is mostly all outdoors with very little airflow in certain areas so very hot and uncomfortable at times in the queue.
Not well thought out…… or completed.
We had the Mac and Cheese cone. We had the one with Nashville style pulled chicken, Mac and cheese, hot honey, Calabrian peppers, chimichurri and crispy onions served in a bread cone.
Sounds delish.
We didn’t make time to do the meet and greet with Hiccup and Toothsome. The wait is crazy and stays long the entire day. It is always 1-2 hours long.
Nope! Ain’t a character that I’d stand in line for two hours to see.
I couldn’t relate as well to this portal because it did not remind me of HP World at all.
Huh. Surprised by that.
The first part of the show is standing room squished in with a million of your closest friends, yuck
Ugh. Covid anyone?
People act so bad at times. A ton of people were running and pushing into the portal as we were trying to leave the show! It was terrible.
This portal has so many stairs! I don’t mind stairs but when walking 30,000 steps each day the stairs are not fun!
Do they not realize that people get tired????
It is an omnimover ride with you guessed a ton of stairs to get on and off the ride.
We had to step out of the vehicle and climb down a step ladder.
Not stairs? Fail.
Fritos Misto this was fresh Florida shrimp, calamari, local water fish, Calabrian chili and a gremolata aioli.
Yum.
It was quite pricey for appetizers but when the food is good it hurts less, haha
This restaurant was visually stunning inside. It is like you are in an outdoor restaurant.
Looks nice.
We shared a vegetable spring roll and the crispy orange chicken.
Good solid choices.
Did it give me Disney like feels-NO. I missed that. Maybe because it is very new and we don’t have a connection with it yet? Even the older Universal parks give me more feels.
Huh. Interesting comment.
the connection time for the Duluth flight was under an hour and this scared me.
It’d scare me too! Too tight!
Thank you all for following along. I hope all my information and pointers have helped some over the years and made it easier to plan your Disney and Universal trips!
Thanks so much for posting. Loved all the epic photos. Thanks for all those.
