We call to all those of royal lineage (and those who dream to be) to appear before our royal court of Disney Princesses and Princes this February 4, 2004 at the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort for a night of fun, adventure and celebration!

As our special guests, your evening will include a gallant quest, where only the most brave and strong will prevail, a plentiful feast of both hearty food and beverage, exclusive ball gifts to all our guests, and of course, special appearances by our most honored and royal Disney friends as we join them before the Cinderella Castle in a beautiful ball to celebrate the love they share for each other. And of course, what royal gathering would be complete without a royal send off as the evening ends with a special viewing of our new "Wishes" fireworks show.

Be warned - We have heard rumors of those that are upset at not receiving their royal invitations (villains) so we will ask for your help all evening in locating any uninvited guests!!

Also, you will have the opportunity to pre-purchase special themed product created especially for this magical event, that will feature many of your favorite Disney Princesses and Princes as well as those villainous creatures that stand between them and their true love.

All our royal guests are invited to dress appropriately for this majestic occasion in their most regal garb.

Tickets are $125.00 per guest for ages 10 and up and $95.00 per guests for children 3-9 year old.

but I haven't been able to get any "specifics" about this event. I even emailed to the link on the website and got no response.

I don't plan to go, but am planning to go to MK that day and wanted to see if it would affect my plans. As far as I can tell, this event will be held in Fantasyland. I'm not sure if Fantasyland will be closed to other guests or not though.

Maybe I should check rumors and news board, huh?

As far as I can tell, this event will be held in Fantasyland. I'm not sure if Fantasyland will be closed to other guests or not though.

"This is Love" is a merchandising event like the 999 Happy Haunts Ball was. Assuming it works as the other events have worked, the Magic Kingdom will be closed the evening of the event. The event starts at 7:00, so I'm assuming the park will close at 6:00. Since it is off-season that is probably close to the normal closing time of MK at that time of year anyway. If you were planning on being in the MK that day, I would just check to see what time it closes and if they will be showing fireworks, since they'll need to be setting up for the event.

February hours aren't posted yet, of course. From reading what info is available, it sounded like the event was to be held in Fantasyland only, though. Kind of hard to tell as there isn't much info available apparently. The sites do mention Wishes, but I couldn't figure out if it would be for everyone, or the park would be closed (as you mentioned) and only guests in attendance would get to view the fireworks. I'll keep my eye out for more info.

Linda is probably right about the whole park closing even though the "event" is only in one area. For Happy Haunts we were limited to Liberty Square and Adventureland yet the whole park was closed to the public.

I just thought of something...I made my dinner PS a couple of days ago for Crystal Palace. I chose an early time -- 4:30 -- but they offered me 5:40 or 5:45, something like that (I asked for something "around 5:00.") Would they make PS that late if they were planning to close early? Or will they need to reschedule everyone?

I'm just assuming here, but I doubt they'll change PS times. It would be simple enough to escort restaurant guests out and avoid the areas where the event will be held. If the event starts back in Fantasyland, that area could be closed to the public first, then the park cleared of day guests to the front while the event guests are having dinner. The front of the park would then be clear for the later dancing and fireworks for the people who attend the event.

I have attended several events and pay close attention to the ones I haven't and most, if not all, of the higher-price evening events have been held in parks that are closed to the public. Oh, and I'm paying close attention to this one, because we already paid to attend this one!

Oh, so that's how it works! I was picturing them calling everyone back... lol

Since I took the early PS I guess it wouldn't really affect us anyway, though. After dinner we could just hop over to Epcot for a while. We're planning/hoping to see Wishes (along with Spectro) on the following Saturday, so it wasn't a must-do on that day.

I would love to attend something like this but there's no way DH would want to (I already asked...lol).

My husband swore he wouldn't go to any of these things either. Then I got him to go to the Parti Gras event at AK last year and he had a great time! He even agreed that it really was worth the price, and he really enjoyed being in the park with a relatively small group of people. When I suggested this event, he said yes without even asking how much it was going to cost. Not only that, but since this event will be the first night of our belated honeymoon, he even agreed to go in costume. My blue-collar, football loving, steak and potatoes guy is dressing up to go to a costume ball! He really does love me! Maybe you'll get your guy to change his mind one day.

Will absolutely everyone go in costume? If not, what would they wear instead? For those of you who have already reserved, did they give you any information beyond what is posted on the "announcements?"

I could probably go by myself and leave DH with the kids for the evening, but I haven't gone anywhere alone (unless the grocery store counts, and maybe the bathroom occasionally) in practically forever. I don't know if I know how to be alone...LOL.

I would love to do this as a hubby and me only event. Unfortulately, hubby is resistant to traveling down again...he doesn't like to travel...so it's probably a no go for us. I'll have to settle for living it vicariously through some of you.

That makes it sound like the park will not close early. Of course, they could just "schedule" closing for 6:00 instead of 7:00. They are taking dinner PS as late as 5:45 though.
