This is Literally The Best Trip Ever! *Complete 11-10*

So where I left you we had just finished up our shopping and were headed back to the poly for a nap...

Charlotte laid down and went instantly to sleep. I took a nap for about an hour. While I was sleeping Bob went to the pool bar for a swim and a beer. When he got back I took a walk around the Poly to take some pics and really soak up the beauty that this resort offers. It really is so beautiful words can not describe it!

Seriously these pictures make me sad I am not there right now!

When I returned to our room Charlotte was still sleeping and now Bob was too. I quietly updated my trip journal and let the two of them rest. Charlotte woke up on her own around 4:30 and Bob around 5:00. Everyone got freshened up, I left Charlotte in her Cinderella dress from this morning because I wanted to try and get a picture of Charlotte by herself in front of the castle. I packed the dress I wanted her to ware for the evening in my park bag. We were out the door by 5:30. We were walking through the gates of the Magic Kingdom by 5:50.

The first thing we did was get the pictures of Charlotte by herself in front of the castle. Of course Stitch had to be in it!

This was not exactly what I wanted it to be, however that is a reason for another trip right?

Then we went straight back to Tomorrow Land. This is an area we often over look. We usually start in Adventure Land and by the time with hit TL we are tried! Can you believe in 6 trips I have never been on the people mover or space mountain? I just really can not explain how I have managed to avoid those rides all my life but they were on the to-do list this time! I went right over and got my Space Mountain FP. I did not write down the time but I am pretty sure it was 8:30-9:30 which would work out well with the rest of the evening plans!

Then we rode the people mover. All three of us loved this! There was no line and it was so relaxing. It was great fun! We started walking in the general direction of our dinner ADR, but I wanted to check Peter Pan again, the line was still 50 minutes and FP return time was 9:50-10:50 a little late for us, so we thought that is one thing we will save for next time. So, we just made our walk to the Beast's castle for our dinner.

On our way we stopped for a PP pic of just me and DH:
49696390179.jpg

We have had a picture taken of the two of us there every single trip and I wanted to keep that tradition.

We also stopped and got a pic of DD with the Cinderella fountain:

Better than the castle pic!

We checked in at 6:39 for our 6:55 ADR. Remember this, its important!

I asked the CM at the gate if we could use the restroom, DD was in need of a diaper change and I wanted to change her dress. When we went inside, DD caught a glimpse of the ballroom and she was amazed! She just kept trying to get in there. It looked exactly like the movie and she was excited! So I took my very excited two year old outside to wait for our table to be called. If you have not been to BoG yet, you wait outside the restaurant for your table and a host/hostess comes out to get you and the big front doors open up and you can see inside. At first DD was being really good patiently waiting for our turn. Then, about 15 minutes into our waiting DD started to take matters into her own little hands. She would see a host come out and call a name and then she would run quickly inside as the doors opened for the other family. Then my DH would run after her. We had to corral her in the corner, she was not happy.

Then I started thinking, it had been a long time since we checked in, I looked at my phone and it was now 7:30 almost an hour after we checked in, and a half and hour after our ADR time.:scared1: I was not happy! It is hard enough to get a two year old to wait, much less this long! Please trust me I am not a complainer, but I was hot and tried and Charlotte was hot, hungry and restless, which was making me and DH cranky! I went over to the CM at the gate and asked him what was taking so long. First he asked if we were walk ups, nope we had an ADR, so he gave me some answer like different sizes of parties sometimes take longer than others. I told him we were a party of 3, not 20! I saw 3 more parties of 3 who came up way after us go in, and I went to the CM again. This time he said he would check into it. He came back with a totally different attitude and very apologetically told me it would only be a few more minutes. Finally, at 8:00pm an hour and five minutes after our ADR our name was called. I may or may not have said "Its about time!":rolleyes1 (I really did not mean to say that out loud, but it was a bad moment!)

A very nice hostess took us to a lovely table in the main ballroom and it was so beautiful! I took a few pictures, but not enough to express the beauty of the restaurant:

Charlotte was so preoccupied here looking around she did not even notice we strapped her into the high chair! I think she really felt like she was in the movie. Our waitress came by and we ordered drinks and appetizers. Bob had a coke and I had the all natural lemonade. This lemonade was so good! I really want one right now. For apps we both ordered the French Onion soup and we got Charlotte a fruit cup. When the appetizers arrive Charlotte ate all of her fruit cup quickly. So, DH let her try his soup, which she totally took over and started eating. In her defense that soup was really, really good! While we were having our soup the manager came up to our table. He told us the Beast was so very sorry the staff at his castle forgot about us. The beast wanted Charlotte to have a special toy to thank you for patiently waiting. They handed DD a large stuffed Beast. This made her day! If you read my PTR you know DD loves Beauty and the Beast, but not for Belle. She loves the Beast!

The manager also noticed that DD had DH's soup and had another one sent out for DH right away! He also had a member of his staff check on us through out the meal (but not in an annoying way).

We were barely finished with our apps and dinner came. I ordered the Steak and Fries with green beans, and DH got the Shrimp and scallops. Charlotte had most of my fries and some of my steak. It was delicious! Bob said his dish was wonderful. Our waitress was a nice as she could be, however she was rather slow. After we were finished with our dinner, she brought the dessert cart over to our table and then left! It was so hard to keep a wiggly two year old away from a cart of cake. When she finally returned we picked our desserts. Bob got the chocolate creme puff and I let Charlotte pick for me, she went with the triple chocolate cupcake. We split it, I can not believe how delicious this was, OMG it was great! DD really seemed to enjoy her half as well and DH said he really liked his. After our desserts the manger came back to check on us again he also wanted to make sure we got a photo in the center of the ballroom:
438.JPG

He then wanted us to be sure we got in line to meet the master, which we did. The line was fairly short. Charlotte was so excited, she was like most little girls when they meet the princesses. When it was finally our turn Charlotte walked right up to the Beast and had the most epic meet and greet ever! Please forgive me for the following photo bomb! This was a magical night for us:

The Beast came back for Charlotte!

49696390222.jpg

49696390225.jpg

He kept walking her around and showing her things in the library, it was so so so cute! The CM with him said The Beast is so used to little kids being afraid of him, that he was excited to meet one that loved him! The PP photographer said "Its not everyday a little girl comes in with a Beast doll!" The Beast spent a long time with Charlotte. I felt so bad for everyone in line behind us, but everyone said it was just so cute they were okay with waiting! I can not put into words how magical this meal was. It started off so bad, but became a dream come true for my little girl! All I can say is that is why Disney is always so crowded, you can not get that kind of magic anywhere else!

After a much longer dinner than I had anticipated, I only had a few minutes until my Space Mountain FP was no longer valid. So we went over that way. Charlotte noticed the Stitch dance party while we were on our way to SM, so Bob took Charlotte over there. He did not take any pictures, but he said Charlotte loved the dance party. Then, I took my first ride on Space Mountain. And... it was AMAZING! I can not believe it took me 31 years to get on this ride! Wow!
My ride photo:

We had originally planed on going back to the poly to watch the fireworks from the beach, but our dinner took much longer than we planned so we were not going to make it back in time. So, rather than getting stuck in a crowd we just kept walking. I put a light-up Cinderella in Charlotte's Easter basket so we got that out and she "lit" the way back to the monorail for us. She really enjoyed that! We got right on the monorail and were back to the poly in a few minutes. We gave Charlotte a quick bath and put her to bed. Bob went and got us a Lapu Lapu to split. We sat on the patio and enjoyed our last night at the poly. Overall, we had a great last full day!

Coming soon... We say good-bye!

Oh my gosh I love the pictures with the Beast! Even with that long wait it looks like it was totally worth it. We will have to get to BOG next time. I am not sure DD wouldn't be scared of the Beast though! lol

wow, what a great experience. I know things happen and restaurants get delayed or make a mistake - but it is what they do to make up for it that counts and sounds like BOG when above and beyond. So happy for you that it turned out so positive! :thumbsup2

And those pictures of Charlotte with Beast are so great - she just looks so happy. :goodvibes

I like the picture of Charlotte in front of the fountain but I LOVE the pictures of her meeting the beast! Especially the first one where she looks so happy and excited and the one where she is standing next to him looking up. Totally adorable and she obviously was having a magical moment!

Too bad they messed up for ADR time, but :woohoo: for all the pixie dust after!

Oh my gosh!!!!! Look at how THRILLED Charlotte is to meet the beast! :lovestruc Those are just priceless pictures.

Seriously - I really enjoyed reading the whole update, but all I can remember to write about our those adorable Beast pics!

Just read your installment about BOG and my Uncle is a PP CM and he usually works with Beast and I wonder if he was your PP that night!

I love the photos of Beast and Charlotte, they're incredibly cute :goodvibes

How nice that the manager gave you all special attention due to the wait!

Thank you! It really was worth the wait! Best meal of our entire trip! Also the only time we were not seated before our ADR time. It really amazed me she was not afraid of the Beast, but she loved him.

Oh man! Those pics of her with the beast make me get all teary eyed! So sweet!

Me too every time! She really was so happy to be there, I love that memory so much!

That is so true! Mistakes can happen anywhere, but Disney goes out of their way to make every experience a positive one! It really was so great! Thank you!

Thank you! Really all I wanted was a "I'm sorry about the wait, I never expected all of that!

Just read your installment about BOG and my Uncle is a PP CM and he usually works with Beast and I wonder if he was your PP that night!

Our PP was a youngish female, but that is so cool to know someone so "close" to the beast! My DD would be jealous!

Oh my gosh!!!!! Look at how THRILLED Charlotte is to meet the beast! :lovestruc Those are just priceless pictures.

Seriously - I really enjoyed reading the whole update, but all I can remember to write about our those adorable Beast pics!

The whole trip is kind of like that! The whole thing was wonderful, but that night was that picture perfect moment I wanted so badly!

I tried to post this last night, but for some reason my computer and Disboards were not getting along so I will try again today!

So I don't have time for an update yet, but I did want to check in and say:

:sulley:Happy Halloween!:maleficen

Boy, we had a crazy week! I went to my first ever World Series game Monday (only to watch our Cards loose :))

Then we had Halloween stuff all week! What I really wanted to share tonight was pics of my DD tonight. She went trick or treating for the first time and LOVED it! The first few houses she was a little nervous but once she got the hang of it she loved it. I thought you all might be interested in this because DD wanted to be The Little Mermaid this year!:yay::yay: That has always been my favorite Disney movie so I was very excited about this choice. In St. Louis when trick or treating you are expected to tell a joke (I have been told this is the only place it is expected? Correct me if I am wrong) Charlotte is obviously too young to tell jokes so, instead of a joke Charlotte sang a few lines of "Under the Sea" which went over very well!

Here are some pics:

In many of the pics you can see our very kind and tolerant dog Daphne also dressed as a mermaid. Our other dog Sebastian, who is a crab would not wear a costume! Ironically this has worked the past two years, last year Daphne and Charlotte were both Snow White, so we said an undressed Sebastian was going as grumpy. This year our undressed Sebastian, was a crab who refused to participate. I am hilarious, I know:sad2:

Bob, was very concerned about Charlotte's little mermaid costume being too suggestive. I had to make several different versions of the top to please him.:rotfl:

Anyway, I hope you all had a fun and safe evening! I will be back soon with the rest of our trip!

Charlotte makes an adorable little mermaid!! And I love that your puppy wore a matching costume--so cute!! I'm glad she had fun!

I think the joke thing is just a strange St Louis tradition (like asking where you went to high school). I'd never heard of it until I moved here. Our standby joke is "how do you make a tissue dance? Put a little boogie in it!" I'm so immature--I laugh more than the kids do at that one! At the trunk or treat my favorite came from a girl dressed up as Taylor swift, carrying a fake guitar. Someone asked her if she had a joke. she said no, but I have a song. And she flipped over her guitar where she had taped her ipod, pushed play and started lip syncing to a Taylor swift song. I thought that was pretty clever!

Awww - your little mermaid is adorable. Looks like she had a blast!

Looks awesome!!! My son (Caden) was Peter Pan and it was his first time too!! It was pouring here so we went to the mall.

I love her costume!! I also love that bob was so concerned. What a good Dad.

I don't really follow baseball but I love listening to "conversations with Cardinal Dolan" on the Catholic channel and he is way into the Cardinals so I have heard more about this series than any before. Sorry they lost.

Oh, and you are way hilarious. I love that Sebastian was grumpy, and crabby!

Glad Charlotte enjoyed trick-or-treating! It was the first year for my son too and once he found out you got candy he got into it like nothing before!

Love the family picture with the bubbles :goodvibes:

I grew up in St. Louis, so I always thought a joke was normal. Then when I went to college I was told that is just a StL thing! I do like to know where everyone went to high school! I guess we have our own way of doing things here in StL! :lmao:

Hey STL ladies, are we still good for tomorrow? I am really looking forward to it! West Country mall play area correct? What time works for all? We usually nap around 2:00 and we get up around 8:30 or 9:00 but we are super flexible!

I am so excited to meet you ladies in person! :cool1:

Thank you! My DD was the same way. Once she found out they were giving her candy she was all into it! :rotfl:

Oh thank you! I always love family costumes! Lord help our next child if he is a boy, he will get roped into all sorts of embarrassing costumes until he is old enough to protest! :lmao:

I never got into baseball, but my DH is and so is all of St. Louis for that matter. It was really fun this year. I am happy to hear that Cardinal Dolan still follows St. Louis baseball. It seems like if you are from St. Louis you never stop being a Cardinals fan. It was so fun to be there and our city is always so alive and fun when we make it to the world series so that made it worth it!

Looks awesome!!! My son (Caden) was Peter Pan and it was his first time too!! It was pouring here so we went to the mall.
Awe! At least you have the mall option now! It was raining when we first started and I thought about now going, but my dad said no, in St. Louis we go out raining or not! So he has one of those big bubble umbrellas and he held it over Charlotte while she was walking!

Awww - your little mermaid is adorable. Looks like she had a blast!
Thank you she really did have a great time! So did DH and I. I think it was more fun going out with her than it ever was when I was going myself!:)
