This is Literally The Best Trip Ever! *Complete 11-10*

We're heading to WDW with our two year old in 3 weeks. I really appreciate your thoughts in going with one. I have been thinking it would be a different trip and sort of like what you described so I'm glad to see someone else with a good experience!

Hopefully our flights go smoothly though. We couldn't bear the thought of a 16 hour drive so we kept searching for airfare and finally found a good deal but if it doesn't work we'll probably drive next time.

Thanks! It is very different going with a little one, but totally worth it! As long as you go into it with the right mind set you will have a great time!

I have always preferred driving to flying in fact, this was the first I ever flew to WDW. We have made the 16 hour drive (over two days) many times. Flying is nice but we look at the drive as part of the vacation.

I enjoyed reading your trip report. My son was the same way with the face characters our last trip, was super shy around them, but loved all of the furry ones. We have an opposite touring style of your family, love rope drop and don't like to spend time eating. I would die if I got to a park around 11am! I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. There is definitely more than one way to skin a Disney cat.

Also, don't let one bad flight scare you from flying again. Kids just have their moments, as she gets older she will become less sensitive to missing naps, and will be better able to control her emotions when she's tired. She's just 2.

You never know with Toddlers! We really found our pace this time and I think that can be different for every family! I am not a laid back person but my DH and DD are and just going with the flow is so much more fun for us all, majority rules right?

I am sure we will fly again someday, but I am in no hurry to do so! I don't really like to fly anyway so we have always drove before. We kind of look at the drive as part of the vacation.

I was so sad when I saw your TR pop up as complete! that went way too quickly!!

the last day at the parks is always so bittersweet, isn't it? fun, but sad.....

we can't wait to try some lefou's brew! I don't know why we skipped it last trip, but it's for sure on the list this time!

i'm so sorry charlotte had a rough flight back. that's never fun. I can't believe you're going to try driving next time, but I can't wait to hear how it goes since my DH always wants to try driving. not driving is one of the reasons I love staying on property. I drive so much during "real life" that not having to do it is like heaven!

I like your final thoughts. I agree with you on rope drops and the dining plan. we can't make it for rope drops. not yet anyway, maybe when the kids are bigger, but for now, we're ok with that. last time we saw the opening show at MK once, and on accident, and that was good enough for us. and we love the dining plan! I love not having to worry about paying for things when we're there. we did deluxe last time and are trying regular this time to compare so we'll see what we think.

since I can't get enough of that cute charlotte, you know i'll be there whenever you start your next PTR! great TR!

I know can't believe it's over!

We haven always driven in the past. In fact I hate flying and this is the first time we ever did. So the idea of driving doesn't bother me at all.

I really liked the deluxe plan, we wont always get it, but I know we will get it again someday. I really think they should do a dining plan between the reg and deluxe. There should be one with two TS a day, three is too much but, 1 TS and 1 QS isn't quite enough.

I am excited to start the next PTR so look for it coming soon!

She may be a better flyer by you next trip. Our las flight in October was sooooooooo much better than our May and August flights and Goose was just a couple months older. It helps that his kindle will keep his attention longer!

We did have a good last day, even though we didn't want to come home!
I think if we flew again even now Charlotte would do better because things like the I-pad and coloring are holding her attention longer.

I totally agree with you that as long as you realize you will have to adjust your touring style to the kids a bit trips with very young kids can be great ... and the fact they are free is definitely an added bonus!

I finally remembered to check dates on the calendar at work for another STL DISmeet. I just looked at Tuesdays and Thursdays since those work better for April. As of now, these days look good for me, dec 3, 5, 12 or 19. After that is Christmas and New Years, then I'll be gone for a week cuz we got this little thing planned called GOING TO DISNEY! yep, I totally hijacked your PTR to talk about my excitement--I just can't control it! anyway, let me know if any of those days work for anyone.

Looks like the only one of those days that works for me is the 19th The first two weeks of December I'm working Monday and Wednesday nights, so the day after working is a definite no-go for me! But... I am interviewing for a new position at work to become a Clinical Supervisor, so if I get it my schedule may change!

Thank you! We really did have a great time. Its really nice how Disney allows kids under three to participate for free! Yet another reason why I love going there.
