I am just SO proud of my country for putting on such a fantastic party for the world!!! And our athletes for their hard work. I'll miss the olympics

So glad we won that Hockey game, it is so amazing that we won on our own turf and i am SOOO happy, Canada is pretty much having a giant party right now, you should see the streets of Toronto!! (and Vancouver it showed on CTV LOOKS INSANE!!!!)

I love my country so proud of what we've accomplished during the past 2 weeks.

Also USA way to kick major a** in the medal standings holy canoli!!

I would have been happy if either team won, but TBH I was rooting for Canada just a little bit more. Since they were the host team, plus how big hockey is there, I think it meant more to them than it would have for Americans. My grandpa CRIED when Canada won! Tears of Canadian pride, haha.
My mom is Canadian and my Dad is American, so I got to root for both! hehe.

I don't think Canada necessarily tried more. Both teams played their hearts out and Canada turned out to be the better team in my opinion.

I dont get on often but had to throw in my two sense on this. As a huge hockey fan in pittsburgh i love Sid the Kid, met the guy hes a real cool guy and he works hard and deserves it. He brought the cup home the the burgh. But as an American I am ticked off, ppl around here are saying you gotta feel happy for him; I DONT he beat our country for a gold medal come on gold medals in hockey are few and far between.

Me too. Hockey is Canada's sport. How many Americans seriously flood hockey games like the Canadians do? I wanted Canada to win that game because it's their sport and they were at home.

I cried when we won, it was just such a crazy game! You guys played your butts off and almost had us there I was sweating for sure!!
They showed this video on TV about what the olympics meant to Canada and it had me in tears I was so proud

I'm also really curious as to how popular that game was in the US...I mean in Toronto, and the surrounding area, in Vancouver, in Montreal every bar/restaurant/house was packed full of people watching the game, after the game there was a party in the streets here EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE was going crazy. I was just wondering if the game is as popular in America as it is here, were the bars packed in your city? Did people really care all that much? Just really curious.
