Alright, this is it! I am only doing one more load of . I don't want to come home to a pile of laundry waiting to be done. I also don't want to come home to a messy house so DS and I have been cleaning room by room.

Anyone else have a Mom that always said " We're cleaning BEFORE we leave so we don't have to when we get home"? Never understood it then-I really get it now though!

OT- We finally got our pool filled up this morning. DS can't wait to get in but its still WAY to cold. I figure it might be warm enough by the time we get home

My mother also insisted on us tidying our rooms before we went on vacation when we were kids and I always hated it! Now I do it because nothing is worse than coming home after a trip and being miserable about the vacation being over and then be even more miserable because I have to start cleaning the house!!!!

I am always so tired before a trip because I clean like a maniac before we leave! I can remember getting so mad at my Mom before vacation for making us clean but now I totally understand. Especially after a trip to Disney, I need a clean house to help with the depression!

Ok we're up! OMG!!! We leave for Bangor tomorrow. Packing is almost done-NO MORE . We have to take the to my parents and they will be coming down to check on the house, feed the cat and check the pool. DS hopes to go swimming later today. Must be tough being 6, having a new pool and not being able to go in yet. Poor kid! Guess he'll have to make do with a Disney trip

Of course, DH has now thought of a few more items he needs so off we go again!

Yes, a few more items - razor blades, and new hoses for the pool that was purchased.

We are all packed and ready to go. Do you think Delta would let us get on a plane today and that Disney would make room at Pop for us a little early?

Declan and I did get in the pool. It was a balmy 68 degrees F.

Best of everything for safe travel and a fabulous trip! We'll look forward to seeing lots of great pictures when you return. I know Declan will enjoy the pools at Pop, and I hope you'll all enjoy the Polynesian. It has been HOT here in the south. (Trent has been pouring concrete in 104 degree heat!) You'll probably be seeking out water, shade, and air conditioning quite often. Wave down to TN as you fly overhead!

Hey all, we're back! We arrived a couple of hours ago.

We all had a great trip and we even had a big surprise for all of us at the end. (It wasn't a night in the castle but it was better than a dream fast pass.)

Hope to start getting some of the report up later, possibly tonight or tomorrow. I have to get some pictures uploaded to go along with the report.

and so it begins.... I thought I would get started and DW will jump in shortly. I have the first two days (travel and WDW day 1) posted at Photobucket so we are ready to roll.

Pooksma and I decided that we would try to use the picture report method with minimal typing. Well at least I'll try.

Sunday August 12th.

11:30 am AST we are ready to hit the road. Not too bad, I said 10 - 10:30 knowing that we wouldn't get going by then. We are usually an hour or so later for some reason.

Here is my traditional are you ready to go Declan picture?

I not sure what that look is all about.

We have a couple of options for border crossings - travel nothwest to Houlton, Maine and hit the I95 or travel to Calais, Maine and follow Route 9 to Bangor. Option 2 is more scenic so I opt for that. It was a great drive except for the one hour wait to cross the border.

We arrived at the Four Points Sheraton around 3:30 EST and checked in. Since we hadn't eaten since breakfast, we headed to Applebee's for diner. Not bad but it isn't a World Showcase restaurant. We all turned in early to get some sleep for our 4 am wake-up call and a big first day.

August 13th.

We all up at 4, quick shower and cross over to the airport to check in. After a short wait, we boarded our HUGE plane for the flight to Boston.

If that doesn't show you the size, here is my view from row 1 and a pic showing how close Declan was to me.

We arrived at Logan with no problems and our layover was long enough for a bathroom break and some Starbucks. Boarded a much bigger plane and made our way to Orlando (11:25 am arrival).

Sam from Tiffany's was waiting for us at luggage pick up. We had our bags and were on our way to Pop via Publix. Sam is a great driver, we had him last time and he is very friendly and really takes the time to talk with you on the way.

We arrived at POP by 1 pm and check in took maybe 10 minutes. I think we just beat the rush. Here is the lobby when we checked in. Pooksma is just behind that plant in the center of the picture. She doesn't like her picture posted so that may be all you get.

When making the booking, Liz from Dream Come True requested the same room we had in 2005. Not only did we get it but it was ready. Declan's first surprise was also waiting. We ordered a basket with pirate ears for al of us, mugs, and some Disney dollars. He was very happy to carry it around.

OK, I need to get a few more pictures posted and prepare for a fantasy football draft (Dis league) so I will stop here. Hopefully, Pooksma will tell you about the rest of the day soon. Stay tuned to find out about our fridge problem and our bus tour at the end of the day.
