Those flight changes must make you nuts...I know it would me. Thankfully we live 3 hours and 15 minutes South of the Big Mouse so we drive.

Codes are such a good thing. The next 2 trips I have rented DVC points for BWV and BCV.

The flight changes haven't been too stressful, well for me anyway. pooksma keeps a pretty close eye on Delta so we stay on top of them. The haven't changed in about a month so maybe we are set.

Still no call about moving from AKL? Maybe no news is good news, since so many people HAVE been called already. Trent's boss left for Disney World last week, supposedly to stay in Animal Kingdom. I'm anxious to hear what he says upon his return tomorrow, whether they stayed there or were moved, what the construction was like, etc. I'll let you know what he says. Not that it affects you, but just for interest sake. That is, if he comes back tomorrow. Sometimes, you need a "recuperation from vacation" time, and since he's the boss, he might treat himself to a day of that. The Poly would be a nice replacement. It is a beautiful place.

Thanks for the offer MeMom. I'd love to know what he saw and heard. As you know we have a savannah view booked and they seem to be getting moved more often lately. The big question is are they moving by choice or are they "requested" to move?

ok, now for the real update.


DW just finished up another surprise for ds. We are having a small basket prepared and sent to our room. Hopefully, it will be there when we arrive. Here is a picture.

It contains 3 sets of ears (my first, yea), our YOAMD mugs (3) and some Disney dollars for ds. Originally there were treats but apparently there are some new rules that doesn't allow for food.

Also wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to MeMom for her AKL update. We are still hoping that we don't receive the call and her news gives us a little bit more confidence.

Hello everyone who's still reading this OCDer's pre-trippie.

Well the dreaded e-mail came today. We have to be moved from AKL. No choice, no ifs, ands or buts. I have to say I'm kind of disappointed. We wanted this so badly. The upside here is that our TA was, after some pushing, able to secure for us...wait for it....The Poly with a Lagoon View

There is a price difference but our rate wil not change. Our 2 nights at AKL would have been $384 for the 2 nights due to our 40% code. WDW is honouring that price. (And so they should) So what would have been roughly $500 is ours for the original cost.

So today I am a little blue but guess it just wasn't meant to be this trip. Maybe next time huh DH???

Aaaww! I'm so sorry to hear that. I was hoping it would work out for you to stay at AKL. I hope you have a great time at the Poly!!

So you have something to look forward to the NEXT trip, and you get to stay at Poly, too! Since Declan didn't know about the AKL stay anyway, he'll be none the wiser. He'll just think Mom and Dad are pretty special to be adding all these awesome places to the ends of the trips. Maybe you can do something different that is special this time, like if you've never done putt-putt golf or gone over to Chip and Dale's campfire/sing-along/movie night, or just anything different and new. I know you were counting on AKL, but I think Poly will be so beautiful, and it may turn out that, while you're lounging out on the Poly beach one night watching the Electric Water Parade after having seen the fire dancer and torch lighting, that you'll look at each other and realize how nicely this worked out for you. You'll be right on the monorail in a nice place, and you'll still have Animal Kingdom Lodge to look forward to on your next trip. Okay, that's it for my "mother speech"! Do you know if everything is closed at AKL, like restaurants and gift shop? I love to shop there, and I sure wanted a zebra dome, but that may have to wait until my next time if the whole place is shut down.
